Why is my LG F14A8RD Washer making rattling and clanking noises?

If your LG Washer is making rattling, clanking, or thumping noises, or vibrating, first check the drum and drain filter for foreign objects like coins or safety pins. Heavy wash loads can also cause thumping, which is usually normal; however, if the sound persists, the washer may be out of balance, so stop it and redistribute the load. Also, ensure all transit bolts and packing have been removed following the installation guide. An unevenly distributed wash load can also cause these issues; stop the washer and rearrange the load.
