Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the washing machine:
- Care After Wash: Wipe the door and inside of the door seal to remove moisture, leave the door open to dry the drum interior, and wipe the body with a dry cloth.
- Cleaning the Interior: Use a towel or soft cloth to wipe around the door opening and glass. Run the Tub Clean program monthly (or more often if needed) to remove detergent buildup and residue.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Immediately wipe off spills and clean with a damp cloth. Avoid sharp objects on the surface or display.
- Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter: Turn off supply taps, unscrew the water supply hose, and clean the filter with a hard bristle brush. This should be done occasionally, especially in hard water areas.
- Cleaning the Drain Pump Filter: Allow water to cool, then open the cover cap, pull out the hose, unplug the drain plug, and turn the filter counterclockwise to remove any extraneous matter. After cleaning, reinsert the filter and drain plug.
- Cleaning the Dispenser Drawer: Remove the drawer and inserts monthly to clean off detergent and fabric softener buildup with warm water. Clean the drawer opening with a cloth or non-metal brush.
- Caution on Freezing During Winter: If the product freezes, it will not operate normally. Ensure installation in a non-freezing location. To prevent freezing, remove residual water from the pump and drain hose. If frozen, pour warm water (50-60 °C) into the drum and let it sit for 1-2 hours, then drain. Thaw the water supply hose if frozen.
The manual emphasizes safety precautions, including keeping children away from the appliance, proper grounding, and avoiding the use of flammable substances. It also highlights the importance of removing transit bolts during installation to prevent damage and noise.
