Usage Features

Installation:

  • Transit Bolts: Must be removed before operation to prevent vibration and noise.
  • Anti-Slip Sheets (Optional): Recommended for slippery surfaces to prevent movement.
  • Wooden Floors (Suspended Floors): Rubber cups (at least 15 mm thick) secured to floor beams are recommended to reduce vibration.
  • Leveling: The appliance must be 100% horizontal and stable, with all four adjustable feet firmly on the floor and lock nuts tightened.
  • Water Supply Hose: Connects to the water tap, ensuring rubber seals prevent leaks. Water pressure should be between 0.1 MPa and 1.0 MPa.
  • Drain Hose: Should not be placed higher than 100 cm above the floor to ensure proper drainage.

Operation:

  • First Wash: Run a washing program without clothing to remove manufacturing residue.
  • Sorting Laundry: Sort by fabric type, soil level, color, and load size. Check care labels for washing instructions.
  • Loading: Combine large and small items, ensuring large items are no more than half the total load. Avoid washing single items. Check pockets for foreign objects.
  • Detergent and Softener: Add appropriate amounts to the dispenser drawer. Avoid overfilling to prevent early dispensing or overflow.
  • Washing Cycles: Select from various programs like Cotton, Mix, Easy Care, Duvet, Allergy Care, Sports Wear, Gentle Care, Delicate, Quick 30, Direct Wear, Wash+Dry, and Download Cycle.
  • Drying Cycles: Programs include Normal, Normal Eco, Low Temp., Iron, Time 30 min., Time 60 min., and Time 120 min.
  • Options: Includes Pre Wash, Steam, Eco Hybrid, Delay End, Rinse+, and Dry.
  • Add Item: Allows adding or removing laundry after a cycle has started, provided water level and temperature are safe.
  • Child Lock: Disables controls to prevent accidental changes during operation.
  • Beep On/Off: Toggles the appliance's sound notifications.

Smart Functions:

  • LG SmartThinQ Application: Connects the washing machine to a smartphone for remote control and monitoring. Requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  • Smart Diagnosis™: Provides accurate diagnosis of malfunctions through an LG Electronics customer information center using a smartphone.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning Your Washing Machine:
    • After Each Cycle: Wipe the door and the inside of the door seal to remove moisture. Leave the door open to dry the drum interior.
    • Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth.
    • Interior: Use a towel or soft cloth to wipe around the washing machine door opening and door glass.
    • Drum: Remove items from the washing machine as soon as the cycle is complete.
    • Tub Clean (Optional): A special program to clean the inside of the washing machine. Run regularly with anti-limescale agents.
  • Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter: Turn off the water tap, unscrew the supply hose, and clean the filter using a hard bristle brush.
  • Cleaning the Drain Pump Filter: Open the cover cap, pull out the hose, remove the drain plug to empty water, then remove and clean the filter.
  • Cleaning the Dispenser Drawer: Remove the drawer and inserts, rinse with warm water, and clean the drawer opening with a cloth or non-metal brush.
  • Caution on Freezing During Winter:
    • If the product is installed outdoors or in temperatures below freezing, ensure it is completely drained after use.
    • To handle freezing, pour warm water (50-60 °C) into the drum and wait 1-2 hours. Thaw frozen inlet/drain hoses with warm water.
