Camera
You can use the Camera app to take and share pictures and videos. Your
phone has an integrated 16 megapixel standard camera and 8 megapixel
wide-angle camera that lets you capture sharp pictures and videos. It has
many state-of-the-art features such as multiple mode options, laser
auto-focus, still capture while recording video, and much more. These
features will allow you to easily and creatively capture your world.
NOTE Be sure to clean the protective lens cover with a microfiber cloth before taking
pictures. A lens cover with smudges from fingers can cause blurry pictures with a
"halo" effect.
To open the Camera app
Tap the Home button > Camera .
OR
From any Lock screen except Swipe, drag the Camera icon at the
lower-right corner to the left.
TIP
With the backlight off, press the Volume Down button
twice to immediately take a
quick picture using the Auto camera type and the last lens selected. Enable the
Quick shot option in the Shortcut key settings to enable this shortcut feature
(disable the option for the shortcut to just activate the Camera app with the Volume
Down button).
Camera mode options
The Camera app has different modes to set the level of shot expertise for
your photos and videos. The currently selected mode is blue.
Simple mode
Simple mode
allows you to take quick, no fuss photos. There aren’t
any additional settings and video capture isn’t available while using this
camera type, but you can select the Standard lens icon or the
Wide-angle lens icon when the rear camera is activated.
