Why is my LG GF-V ice maker not working?

  If your LG refrigerator's ice maker isn't producing ice or is producing only a small amount, consider these points: If the appliance was recently installed, it takes about 48 hours for ice production to begin. Ensure the water supply pipe is connected and the valve is fully open, and that the hose isn't bent. If you've recently dispensed a lot of ice, allow 24 hours for more ice to be produced. Check that the ice maker switch or button is set to ON and that the freezer temperature is set to -18 °C. Avoid frequent opening of the refrigerator door, and ensure the door is completely closed.

  If water isn't dispensing from your LG refrigerator, check the following: If you're using unfiltered water, it may have clogged the filter. Make sure the water dispenser tank isn't empty. If the water tube is filled with air, remove the tank, fill it with water, and refit it. Also, ensure the water supply valve is open.

  If your LG refrigerator isn't connecting to Wi-Fi, ensure the Wi-Fi password is correct. Remove the Wi-Fi network from your smartphone and re-register the appliance on LG ThinQ. Turn off mobile data on your smartphone and use Wi-Fi. The wireless network name (SSID) should use only English letters and numbers. Only a 2.4 GHz router frequency is supported. Ensure the router is close enough to the appliance for a strong signal.

Ensure the appliance is resting evenly on the floor and adjust leveling legs if needed. If the appliance with a linear compressor was moved while operating, this can also cause rattling. If the compressor doesn't stop rattling after three minutes, turn the power off and on again.
