Why is my LG LH29S8565 Refrigerator not cooling?
- SscottbrianAug 7, 2025
Several factors can cause your LG Refrigerator to not cool or have no power. First, ensure the refrigerator control is turned ON; check the Setting the Controls section for correct temperature settings. The refrigerator might be in Demo Mode, which disables cooling to save energy. Refer to the FAQs section of this manual for instructions on how to disable Demo Mode. Also, the refrigerator may be in the defrost cycle, during which compartment temperatures may rise slightly; wait 30 minutes after the cycle completes to confirm proper temperature. If recently installed, it can take up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature. Lastly, if the refrigerator was recently relocated or stored on its side, allow it to stand upright for 24 hours before connecting it to power.
