Why are my LG LPXS30866D and Freezer not cooling?
    • B
      Benjamin EricksonAug 19, 2025
Your LG Refrigerator and Freezer might not be cooling due to several reasons. The refrigerator control may be set to OFF, so turn the control ON referring to the Setting the Controls section for proper temperature settings. The Refrigerator may be in the defrost cycle, so wait 30 minutes and confirm the proper temperature has been restored once the defrost cycle has completed. If the refrigerator was recently installed, it may take up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature. If the refrigerator was recently relocated, and was stored for a long period of time or moved on its side, it is necessary for the refrigerator to stand upright for 24 hours before connecting it to power. It also may be in Display mode, so refer to page 25 for Display mode instructions.

Why is my LG Refrigerator not dispensing ice?
    • J
      Jeffery WrightAug 26, 2025
If your LG refrigerator is not dispensing ice, it could be due to several reasons. Ice will not dispense if any of the refrigerator doors are left open. If you infrequently use the dispenser, check the ice bin for ice cubes clumping/sticking together and break them up. If the delivery chute is clogged with frost or ice fragments, eliminate them by removing the ice bin and clearing the chute with a plastic utensil. If the dispenser display is locked, press and hold the Lock button for three seconds to unlock it. Also, make sure that the ice bin is not empty and that the shutoff (arm/sensor) is not obstructed.

Why is food freezing in my LG Refrigerator compartment?
    • G
      Gregory RamirezAug 30, 2025
Food might be freezing in the refrigerator compartment of your LG refrigerator because food with high water content was placed near an air vent, so rearrange those items away from air vents. Also, the refrigerator temperature control may be set incorrectly, so adjust the control one increment at a time and wait for the temperature to stabilize. The refrigerator might also be installed in a cold location, so it should not be operated in temperatures below 55°F (13°C).

Why is my LG LPXS30866D Refrigerator dispensing warm water?
    • J
      Justin BoltonSep 4, 2025
Your LG refrigerator might be dispensing warm water because it was recently installed, so allow 24 hours after installation for the water storage tank to cool completely. If the water dispenser has been used recently and the storage tank was exhausted, the water storage capacity will range from approximately 20 to 30 oz, depending on your specific model. If the dispenser has not been used for several hours, discard the first 10 oz. Also, make sure that the refrigerator is connected to a cold water pipe.

Why does my LG LPXS30866D ice have a bad taste or odor?
    • R
      Richard WilliamsSep 8, 2025
If the ice in your LG refrigerator has a bad taste or odor, the water supply may contain minerals such as sulfur, so a water filter may need to be installed. If the icemaker was recently installed, discard the first few batches of ice. If the ice has been stored for too long, throw away old ice and make a new supply. Improperly stored food in either compartment can also cause this, so rewrap the food. The interior of the refrigerator or the ice storage bin may need to be cleaned; see the Care and Cleaning section for more information, and empty and wash the bin, ensuring it is completely dry before reinstalling.

What to do if there is interior moisture buildup in my LG Refrigerator?
    • D
      dorothy71Sep 12, 2025
If you notice interior moisture buildup in your LG refrigerator, it could be due to a few reasons. Doors being opened often or for long periods of time can contribute to this, so reduce the frequency and duration of door openings. Also, make sure the doors are closed correctly. Humid weather can also play a role, so maintaining a reasonable level of humidity in the home will help. If the defrost cycle recently completed, wait 30 minutes and confirm that the proper temperature has been restored. Finally, ensure food is packaged correctly by wiping all containers dry and storing food in sealed packaging to prevent condensation and frost.
