This document is an owner's manual for an LG wall-mounted air conditioner, providing comprehensive information on its operation, smart functions, and maintenance.
Function Description
The LG air conditioner is designed to provide cooling, heating (for cooling & heating models), and dehumidification, ensuring a comfortable indoor environment. It features various modes of operation including Cooling, Heating, Dehumidification, Fan, and Auto Changeover/Auto Operation. The unit can be controlled via a wireless remote control or an on/off button on the indoor unit itself for emergency use.
Key functions include:
- Cooling Mode: Reduces indoor temperature.
- Heating Mode: Increases indoor temperature (available on cooling & heating models).
- Dehumidification Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air, preventing mold and maintaining optimal humidity.
- Fan Mode: Circulates indoor air without cooling or heating.
- Auto Changeover/Auto Operation Mode: Automatically selects the appropriate mode (cooling or heating) to maintain a set temperature.
- Jet Mode: Quickly changes room temperature (cooling or heating).
- Air Flow Direction Function: Adjusts the vertical and horizontal air flow direction using deflectors (horizontal adjustment may be model-dependent).
- On/Off Timer: Sets the air conditioner to turn on or off automatically at a desired time.
- Sleep Function (Optional): Automatically turns off the air conditioner when you go to sleep, adjusting temperature for comfortable sleep. In Cooling and Dehumidification Modes, the temperature increases by 1 °C after 30 minutes and another 1 °C after another 30 minutes (up to 2 °C from preset temperature).
- Simple Timer Function (Optional): Automatically turns off the air conditioner after a set number of hours (up to 7 hours).
- Energy Display Function (Optional): Displays instantaneous (kW) and cumulative (kWh) power consumption on the indoor unit.
- Light Off Function (Optional): Adjusts the brightness of the indoor unit's display screen.
- Comfort Air Function (Optional): Sets the vane to a preset position to deflect air away from occupants.
- Energy Saving Function (Optional): Minimizes power consumption during Cooling by increasing the set temperature to an optimal level (automatically settles at 22 °C if ambient temperature is below 22 °C).
- Energy Control Function (Optional): Decreases power input by 20%, 40%, or 60% compared to rated power input, available in Cooling Mode.
- Special Functions (Optional):
- Air Purification Function: Purifies air using ion particles (Ionizer) and filters (Plasma), removing bacteria, harmful substances, and microscopic contaminants. Can be used without turning on the air conditioner.
- Silent Function: Reduces noise from outdoor units, preventing potential claims by neighbors. Available in Cooling, Heating, Auto Changeover, and Auto Operation Modes.
- Ion Care Function: Keeps skin moisturized by generating ion clusters. Available in Cooling, Fan Mode, and Air Purification functions.
- Jet Dry Function: Maximizes dehumidification performance. Available in Cooling, Dehumidification, Auto Operation, and Fan Mode.
- Low Heating Function: Maintains a minimum room temperature to prevent objects from freezing, useful in unoccupied spaces.
- Auto Clean Function: Removes remaining moisture inside the indoor unit to prevent mold and odors.
- Mosquito Away Function: Generates a high-frequency wave to scare away mosquitoes. Can be used without turning on the air conditioner.
