Why is my LG LTWS24223 Refrigerator not cooling?
    • R
      Rebecca HallAug 17, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator isn't cooling, ensure the power cord is firmly plugged into a working outlet. Check your home's electrical box for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers, and reset any tripped GFCI outlets. If the refrigerator control is set to OFF, adjust it by referring to the Setting the Controls section. Also, the refrigerator may be in the defrost cycle, so wait about 30 minutes for it to end. If the OFF light is on, the refrigerator is in DEMO mode; disable this by pressing the Temperature Adjust button until you set the desired temperature level.

Why is my LG LTWS24223 icemaker not working?
    • M
      Megan LeeAug 19, 2025
If your LG refrigerator's icemaker isn't making ice, give it 12-24 hours after installation to start producing ice, and 72 hours for full production. Ensure the refrigerator is connected to a water supply and the shutoff valve is fully open. Check for kinks in the water line and straighten them out. Reverse osmosis systems might lower water pressure, causing issues. The icemaker produces about 95 cubes in 24 hours. Make sure the icemaker is turned on and the ice-detecting sensor is clean. The freezer temperature should be at 0°F for normal ice production. Avoid frequent door openings. If the doors aren't closing properly, consult the Doors Will Not Close Completely section.

Why does my LG LTWS24223 ice taste bad?
    • A
      amandajohnsonAug 22, 2025
If the ice from your LG Refrigerator has a bad taste or odor, discard the first few batches after installation. Throw away old ice and make a new supply. Rewrap foods tightly, as odors may migrate to the ice if food is not wrapped properly. If your water supply contains minerals, install a water filter. Clean the interior of the refrigerator and the ice storage bin, discarding old cubes.

Why is food freezing in my LG Refrigerator?
    • T
      Thomas MillerAug 26, 2025
If you find frozen food in the refrigerator compartment of your LG Refrigerator, the temperature control might be set too cold; adjust it to a warmer setting. If the refrigerator is installed in a cold location (below 41°F or 5°C), food can freeze, so ensure the refrigerator operates in temperatures above 55°F (13°C). Also, food with a high water content placed too close to the cold air discharge vent may freeze; move it toward the front.

Why is there frost in my LG LTWS24223 freezer?
    • J
      John AguirreAug 28, 2025
If there's frost or ice crystals on frozen food in your LG Refrigerator, the door may not be closing properly. Also, opening the door often allows warm, humid air into the freezer, resulting in frost.

What to do if LG LTWS24223 Refrigerator doors will not close?
    • R
      Rachel RothAug 30, 2025
If the doors of your LG Refrigerator won't close completely, make sure the refrigerator is level. Food packages might be blocking the door, so rearrange them. Ensure the ice bin, crisper cover, pans, shelves, door bins, or baskets are correctly positioned. Clean the gaskets and the surfaces they touch, and apply a thin coat of appliance polish or kitchen wax. If the refrigerator wobbles, level it. If the doors were removed during installation, reinstall them properly or call a technician.

Why does my LG LTWS24223 run so much?
    • E
      Elizabeth JohnsonSep 2, 2025
If your LG refrigerator's cooling system runs too much, remember that modern refrigerators require more operating time but use less energy. The compressor will run longer in warmer conditions; expect it to run about 40% to 80% of the time at normal room temperatures (70°F). Adding food and opening the door often will also cause it to run longer. Ensure the doors are closed completely. Clean the back cover to allow proper air transfer. If the refrigerator was recently plugged in, it can take up to 24 hours to cool completely. Check that the refrigerator control is correctly set for the surrounding conditions.

Why is there moisture inside my LG Refrigerator?
    • A
      Amber HudsonSep 5, 2025
If the temperature in your LG Refrigerator is too warm or there's moisture buildup, ensure the air vents aren't blocked. Avoid opening the doors too often. Check that the control is set correctly for the surrounding conditions. If you've just added a large amount of food, allow a few hours for the refrigerator to return to normal temperature. Wrap food tightly and wipe off damp containers before storing. Make sure the doors are closing completely. In humid weather, expect more moisture. It's normal for droplets to form on the interior back wall after defrosting.

Why are the doors on my LG LTWS24223 hard to open?
    • A
      Andrea RamosSep 7, 2025
If the doors of your LG Refrigerator are difficult to open, clean the gaskets and the surfaces they touch, and apply a thin coat of appliance polish or kitchen wax. If the door is reopened shortly after being opened, wait one minute to allow the air pressure to equalize before trying again.

How to stop LG Refrigerator from vibrating?
    • C
      Christopher HernandezSep 10, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator is making vibration or rattling noises, it might not be resting solidly on the floor. The floor could be weak or uneven, or the leveling legs may need adjustment. Refer to the Installation section for leveling instructions.
