GUIDELINESFOREXPOSURETORADIO

Yourmobiledeviceisaradiotransmitterand
receiver.Itisdesignedandmanufactured
nottoexceedthelimitsforexposureto
radiofrequency(RF)recommendedby
internationalguidelines(ICNIRP).Theselimits
arepartofcomprehensiveguidelinesand
establishpermittedlevelsofRFenergyfor
thegeneralpopulation.
Theguidelinesweredevelopedby
independentscientificorganisationsthrough
periodicandthoroughevaluationofscientific
studies.Theguidelinesincludeasubstantial
safetymargindesignedtoassurethesafety
ofallpersons,regardlessofageorhealth.
Theexposurestandardformobiledevices
employsaunitofmeasurementknown
astheSpecificAbsorptionRate,orSAR.
TheSARlimitstatedintheinternational
guidelinesis2.0W/kg*.TestsforSAR
areconductedusingstandardoperating
positionswiththedevicetransmittingatits
highestcertifiedpowerlevelinalltested
frequencybands.AlthoughtheSARis
determinedatthehighestcertifiedpower
level,theactualSARofthedevicewhile
operatingcanbewellbelowthemaximum
value.Thisisbecausethedeviceisdesigned
tooperateatmultiplepowerlevelssoasto
useonlythepowerrequiredtoreachthe
network.Ingeneral,thecloseryouaretoa
basestation,thelowerthepoweroutputof
thedevice.
Beforeaphonemodelisavailablefor
saletothepublic,compliancewiththe
EuropeanR&TTEdirectivemustbeshown.
Thisdirectiveincludesasoneessential
requirementtheprotectionofthehealthand
thesafetyfortheuserandanyotherperson.
ThehighestSARvalueforthisdevicewhen
testedforuseattheearis0.545W/kg.
ThisdevicemeetsRFexposureguidelines
whenusedeitherinthenormaluseposition
againsttheearorwhenpositionedatleast
1.5cmawayfromthebody.Whenacarry
case,beltcliporholderisusedforbodyworn
operation,itshouldnotcontainmetaland
shouldpositiontheproductatleast1.5cm
awayfromyourbody.Inordertotransmit
datafilesormessages,thisdevicerequires
aqualityconnectiontothenetwork.In
somecases,transmissionofdatafilesor
messagesmaybedelayeduntilsucha
connectionisavailable.Ensuretheabove
separationdistanceinstructionsarefollowed
untilthetransmissioniscompleted.
