  If the remote for your LG TV isn’t working, first ensure that it's in TV Mode by pressing the MODE key. Then, point the remote directly at the IR receiver on the TV, making sure you're not too far away and that nothing is blocking the path. Check the batteries; replace them if they're weak and ensure they're inserted with the correct polarity (+ and -). Too much light in the room can also interfere, so try dimming the lights. Finally, remember that using the wrong installer remote will prevent it from working. Contact your LG representative to get a compatible LG Installer Remote.

  If you have normal picture but poor or no sound on your LG TV, first make sure the audio isn't muted by pressing the MUTE button or using the Volume Up key. If that doesn't work, the issue might be with the broadcast itself, so try switching to a different channel.

  If your LG TV shows no picture, ensure the TV is turned ON and check for a power failure. Verify that the antenna or cable is correctly connected to the TV. Also, check all connections on the TV to make sure they are correct. If you are using an MPI device, ensure the MPI cable is connected to it. The issue might also be due to an encrypted program, so try switching to another channel. Finally, the tuning band could be incorrect, so you may need to adjust the Installer Menu settings.

Why can't I enter channel number directly on my LG TV?

  If you cannot directly enter a channel number on your LG TV, it might be because the TV is in Pass-through Mode and the Installer Menu item 028 CH. OVERIDE is set to 0 (disabled). To fix this, set CH. OVERIDE to 1, which will allow direct keypad entry to all channels. Alternatively, if the TV is in FTG Mode, the channel you're trying to enter might not be included in the FTG Channel Map. In this case, you'll need to make changes to the FTG Channel Map using the FTG File Manager or the FTG Device Configuration Application.
