This document describes the LG PuriCare™ CARESHIP program, a routine maintenance service designed to ensure LG PuriCare™ Water and Air Purifiers operate at their best. The program emphasizes the importance of regular filter replacement and product sanitation for maintaining clean water and fresh air.

Function Description:

The LG PuriCare™ CARESHIP program provides comprehensive maintenance for LG PuriCare™ Water and Air Purifiers. It is a subscription-based service that offers routine visits from trained technicians or self-service filter delivery, depending on the chosen plan. The primary goal is to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the purifiers by addressing consumable components like filters and providing professional cleaning and inspection.

For Water Purifiers, the service ensures consistent pure and hygienic drinking water by regularly replacing filters and sanitizing the product. For Air Purifiers, it guarantees consistent clean and fresh air through periodic filter replacement and product sanitation.

Usage Features:

The CARESHIP program offers flexibility with two main service types:

  • Regular Visit: A trained technician visits the customer's home to perform maintenance, including filter replacement, product sanitation, and inspection of features and functions. This option is suitable for customers who prefer professional assistance and thorough checks.
  • Self-Service: Filters are delivered to the customer's doorstep, allowing them to perform the filter replacement themselves. This option is designed for ease and convenience for those comfortable with DIY maintenance.

The program is structured to provide "1 Plan 0 Worries," ensuring products are in tip-top condition all year round. Key benefits include:

  • Economical Rates: Competitive pricing for maintenance services.
  • Save More with Extended LG CareShip Subscriptions: Incentives for longer subscription periods.
  • Easy Cashless Transactions Available: Convenient payment options.
  • LG Genuine Filters and Parts: Assurance of using authentic components for optimal performance and compatibility.
  • Free Reinstallation (for water purifier only): Provided once a year in case of product relocation, with the customer responsible for carrying the product to the new location.
  • No Additional Charges for Expired Filter Replacements: Typically, this means standard filter replacements are covered, though additional charges may apply for heavy usage.
  • Complimentary Yearly Internal Pipe Change (for selected models only): Ensures the internal piping remains clean and hygienic.

Maintenance Features:

Water Purifier Maintenance (Regular Visit - 4 Visits/Year, Every 3 Months):

The regular visit plan for water purifiers involves a structured four-visit cycle:

  • 1st Visit: Product sanitation, product features & functions inspection.
  • 2nd Visit: Product sanitation, product features & functions inspection, change filter (following schedule).
  • 3rd Visit: Product sanitation, product features & functions inspection.
  • 4th Visit: Product sanitation, product features & functions inspection, change filter (following schedule), change internal pipe (yearly for selected models).

The technician's process includes:

  1. Washing hands and wearing gloves.
  2. Cleaning the surroundings for water purifier maintenance.
  3. Opening the filter cover.
  4. Removing the filter by turning it anti-clockwise.
  5. Cleaning the filter head with a brush.
  6. Assembling the new filter by turning it clockwise.
  7. Pushing the filter back to position.
  8. Ensuring arrow marks on filter joints are aligned.
  9. Closing the filter cover.
  10. Pressing and holding the "cold" button for 3-5 seconds for filter reset.
  11. Guiding the customer on nozzle cleaning and product function.
  12. Filling up the service card.
  13. Informing the customer about the next maintenance service schedule.

Water Purifier Maintenance (Self-Service - Filter Delivery / Year, Every 6 Months):

For self-service, customers receive filters and follow a step-by-step guide:

  1. Open the filter cover.
  2. Remove the filter by turning it anti-clockwise.
  3. Clean the filter head with a brush.
  4. Assemble the new filter by turning it clockwise.
  5. Push the filter back to position.
  6. Ensure the arrow mark on the filter joint is aligned.
  7. Close the filter cover.
  8. Press and hold the "cold" button for 3-5 seconds for filter reset.

Air Purifier Maintenance (2 Visits/Year, Every 6 Months):

The air purifier maintenance plan involves two visits per year:

  • 1st Visit: Cleaning, checking, change Pre-Filter.
  • 2nd Visit: Cleaning, checking, change Pre-Filter & HEPA Filter.

The technician's process includes:

  1. Washing hands and wearing gloves.
  2. Preparing a cleaning kit and tools.
  3. Turning off power, unplugging the power cord, preparing a drain sheet, and starting cleaning.
  4. Removing the top cover and screws at the sides, then opening the grille.
  5. Cleaning the fan blade, top & bottom grille.
  6. Disassembling the cover to clean the body surface and remove the HEPA filter.
  7. Replacing the required filter(s) and cleaning the PM1.0 Sensor (Air Pollution Sensor).
  8. Cleaning the front and rear cover, then assembling all covers.
  9. Turning on the unit and checking all functions.
  10. Filling up the service card.
  11. Explaining the service process to the customer and getting their signature on the service sheet.
  12. Informing the customer about the next maintenance service schedule.

Important Technical Specifications (Filter Change Period):

Water Purifiers:

  • Pre-Carbon Block Plus Filter: 6 Months (for most models, including 9 Heavy Metals Removal for some).
  • UF Membrane + Post Carbon Filter: 12 Months.
  • Sediment Filter: 6 Months (for WS410GN, WS510SN).
  • Pre-Carbon Block Plus Filter: 12 Months (for WS410GN, WS510SN).
  • UF Membrane Filter: 12 Months (for WS410GN, WS510SN).
  • Post Carbon Filter: 18 Months (for WS410GN, WS510SN).
  • Aroma Sheet: 6 Months (for S3Wf).
  • Water Supply Tank & Water Drain Tank: 24 Months (for S3Wf).

Air Purifiers:

  • Pre-Filter: 6 Months.
  • HEPA Filter: 12 Months.

CareShip Condition (Subscription Rules):

  • #1 Subscribe LG CareShip on last visit date (On Time):
    • New contract starts from the month the existing contract ends.
    • Maintenance service: 4 visits/year every 3 months (water purifier) or 2 visits/year every 6 months (air purifier) from the last visit date.
  • #2 Subscribe LG CareShip within 3 months since last visit date:
    • New contract starts on the date the customer signs up.
    • Maintenance service: 4 visits/year every 3 months (water purifier) or 2 visits/year every 6 months (air purifier) from the last visit date.
  • #3 Subscribe LG CareShip after 3 months since last visit date:
    • New contract starts on the date the customer signs up.
    • 1st visit scheduled in the month of contract start date, services include filter replacement OR whole replacement service.
    • Note: Filter replacement cycle may exceed 6 months and cause issues if service is received after 3 months from the contract start date.
  • #4 New LG CareShip Customers (without filter replacement / history):
    • New contract starts on the date the customer signs up.
    • Visits scheduled based on the date of purchase of the product.
