Function Description

The LG Water Purifier is designed to provide clean, purified drinking water through a multi-stage filtration process, including Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology. It aims to reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), remove heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants from water. Some models also feature UV Sterilization to maintain water purity within the storage tank. The appliance is intended for household use and similar applications, not for commercial or catering purposes.

Important Technical Specifications

The manual covers several models, including WW145, WW150, WW151, WW152, WW155, WW136RPNB, WW146RP**, WW156RP**, WW174N**, WW130, WW140, and WW142.

Usage Features

Installation:

Requires a firm and level floor/wall.
Should be installed indoors, away from direct sunlight, wind, rain, or freezing temperatures (operating temperature between 5 °C and 43 °C).
Maintain a 10 cm distance from the front and sides of the product.
Connects to a cold water supply with specific pressure requirements.
Must be connected to a dedicated, separately fused power line.
New hose-sets must be used for installation. Operation:
Water Dispensing: Purified water is dispensed by pressing a touch lever. Lifting the lever upward allows for continuous discharge.
Tank Full Indicator: Illuminates when the water storage tank is completely filled.
Power Indicator: Glows when the water purifier is ON.
UV Sterilizing Indicator (on some models): Glows when UV sterilization is active. UV sterilization runs automatically for 75 minutes every 6 hours and pauses if the tank cover is opened.
Filter Change Indicator: Changes color from blue to amber to signal the need for preventive maintenance service for the out sediment filter.
Energy Saving: Draining remaining water and unplugging the appliance when not in use for extended periods is recommended.
Initial Use/After Filter Change: Discharge water for approximately 1 hour after installation or filter change until the tank is full.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

Storage Tank: Close the water supply valve, drain the tank completely, unplug the power cord, open the top cover, and unlock the storage tank cover. Wipe the tank surface with a soft, clean cloth. Rinse the tank with purified water or a halogenated solution (like chlorine) every four months to prevent biofilm formation. Avoid touching internal interconnecting parts.
Water Outlet: Clean periodically with a soft brush to remove fur or foreign substances. Filter Replacement:
Filters must be replaced periodically to ensure clean water and prevent bacterial growth or changes in water taste.
Recommended Purification Amount (in litres):
- Out sediment filter + Anti scalant module: 3000-6000 L.
- Sedi + carbon filter: 6000 L.
- RO membrane filter, RO recovery filter, RO recovery plus filter: 6000 L.
- Mineral booster filter: 6000 L.
- Post carbon filter: 6000 L.
Filter replacement and AMC requests should be placed through LG customer care.
Using counterfeit filters or filters from unauthorized sources voids the warranty and can degrade performance and product life.
Regular cleaning of the out sediment filter is suggested in conditions of high turbidity to prevent choking. Warranty:
1-year warranty on all parts (excluding plastic parts, consumables, loose plastic parts, filters, RO filter).
9-year additional warranty on the stainless steel tank only, provided the tank is used as specified in the manual. This additional warranty covers only the tank and excludes other components like PCB, booster pump, UV LED lamp, and filters. Standard visiting charges apply.
Warranty is non-transferable and confined to the first purchaser.
Repairs and replacements are carried out by LG Authorized Service Centres.
Warranty is void if the product is opened by unauthorized personnel, misused, damaged by external factors (e.g., water logging, fire), or if non-LG filters are used.
