The LG washing machine is designed for domestic household use to wash clothes. It features various wash programs and options to cater to different fabric types and soil levels. The appliance includes an automatic error-monitoring system for diagnosing problems.

Usage Features
General Operation:
- Sorting Clothes: Sort by fabric type, soil level, color, and item size for best results. Separate lint-producing fabrics from lint-collecting ones.
- Adding Detergents: Add appropriate amounts of detergent, fabric softener, and/or bleach to the dispenser drawer. Dilute liquid bleach and fabric softener before adding.
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button.
- Cycle Selection: Use the Program button to choose from various wash cycles (Normal, Wool, Quick Wash, Duvet, Eco Save, School Care, Pre Wash+Normal, Tub Clean).
- Customization: Use option buttons to adjust wash temperature, spin speed, etc.
- Start/Pause: Press the START/PAUSE button to begin or pause a cycle.
- Auto Restart: In case of power failure, the cycle restarts from where it stopped.
- Manual Washing: Allows setting rinse and spin, spin only, rinse only, or wash only cycles manually.
Wash Programs:
- Normal: Standard wash for normal laundry, detects laundry weight, calculates rinse and spin settings.
- Wool: For delicate fabrics like lingerie and woollens, uses a slow spin to prevent damage.
- Quick Wash: For lightly soiled clothes (under 2 kg) for a short time.
- Duvet: For blankets or bedclothes with a hand wash sign. Recommends using a laundry net and submerging items.
- Eco Save: Minimizes water and electricity consumption for normal loads at rated capacity.
- School Care: For school uniforms, has a longer wash time and slow spin to reduce noise and prevent damage.
- Pre Wash+Normal: Pre-treats immediate stains without handwash.
- Tub Clean: Special function to clean the drum.

Maintenance Features
After Every Wash:
- Cleaning: Wipe the door and inside of the door to remove moisture.
- Taps: Turn off water taps to relieve pressure and prevent leaks.
- Power Cord: Unplug the power cord.
- Bleach Dispenser: Clean around the bleach dispenser to flush residual bleach.
Periodical Cleaning:
- Dispenser Drawer: Remove and clean the drawer and inserts once or twice a month to prevent detergent buildup.
- Tub Clean: Run this function once a month (or more often if needed) to reduce buildup of detergent, softener, and other residue. If there's a bad smell, run it once a week for 3 weeks.
- Lint Filter: Clean regularly (after at least 2-3 washes) by pushing down release tabs, removing lint, washing the filter, and reinserting it.
- Water Inlet Filter: Clean regularly to remove lime or small objects. Remove the filter with pliers and clean with a toothbrush.
- Exterior: Wipe off spills immediately with a damp cloth, then a dry cloth. Avoid sharp objects on the surface.
Important Notes:
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents.
- Leave the door open to dry the drum interior, but only if safe and children are supervised.
- For models with a lint filter, remove lint before and after using Tub Clean.
- Do not operate the appliance with lint filters removed.
- Do not use fabric softener when selecting rinse twice in Eco Save program.
