Why won't my LG WD12020D Washer start or spin?
    • M
      Molly MillsAug 13, 2025
If your LG Washer won't start or spin, ensure the electrical power cord is tightly plugged into the wall outlet. Check your house fuse or circuit breaker and reset it or replace the fuse if needed, without increasing its capacity. A qualified electrician should correct any circuit overloads. Also, make sure the water supply tap is turned on. Close the door properly and press the Start/Pause button; remember that the door must lock before the spin cycle can begin. It may take a few moments after pressing the Start/Pause button for the washer to start spinning.

    • D
      Daniel GarnerAug 17, 2025
If the door of your LG Washer does not open, wait one or two minutes after powering off or pressing Start/Pause before attempting to open it. This allows the electric locking mechanism time to release for safety reasons once started.

    • K
      Kyle StephensAug 21, 2025
If the water supply to your LG Washer is inadequate, first check another tap in the house to confirm the issue isn't widespread. Ensure the water supply taps connected to the washer are fully open. Inspect the water inlet hoses for any kinks and straighten them out. Finally, check the filter of the inlet hose for any clogs.

How to fix an LG WD12020D when the load is too small or out of balance?
    • A
      Aaron WheelerAug 26, 2025
If your LG Washer load is too small or out of balance, add one or two similar items to help balance the load. You can also rearrange the load to allow proper spinning. Note that the appliance has an imbalance detection and correction system. If individual heavy articles are loaded (like a bath mat or robe), this system may stop spinning or even interrupt the spin cycle altogether. If the laundry is still too wet at the end of the cycle, add smaller articles of laundry to balance the load and repeat the spin cycle.
