  If your Life Fitness Treadmill isn't getting power, first ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. Then, plug the treadmill into an appropriate circuit; in North America, use a dedicated 20 amp circuit for Commercial Units or a 15 amp circuit for Consumer Units. Verify power at the outlet using a voltmeter; if there's no power, reset the circuit breaker. Also, check that the line cord is properly seated in the socket at both the wall outlet and the machine. If the line cord is damaged, contact Life Fitness Customer Support to replace it.

  If your Life Fitness Treadmill unit resets randomly or pauses, ensure it's plugged into an appropriate circuit; in North America, use a dedicated 20 amp circuit for Commercial Units or a 15 amp circuit for Consumer Units. Inspect the power connection at the electrical outlet and the machine to ensure it's properly seated. Re-engage the emergency stop magnet. Move any obstructions off the display console and handlebar. If the ground prong on the line cord is damaged, replace the line cord.

  If the display on your Life Fitness Treadmill does not illuminate when powered on, check all electrical connections for proper attachment at the AC outlet and line cord, the line cord at the treadmill, the power switch, all console connections, and all lower electronics connections.   If you're experiencing abnormally elevated heart rate readings on your Life Fitness Treadmill, it might be due to electromagnetic interference from devices like television sets or antennas. Try moving the treadmill a few inches away from the source of interference, or vice versa, until the heart rate readings become accurate.

  If the heart rate reading on your Life Fitness Treadmill is erratic or absent, make sure the belt transmitter electrodes are sufficiently wet. Ensure the belt transmitter electrodes are lying flat against the skin. Wash the belt transmitter with mild soap and water. Setup of the belt transmitter is accomplished by initially bringing it with in 1 foot of the receiver, which is in the console. After the heart rate is displayed on the console the range is extended to 3 feet. If the chest strap battery is depleted, contact Customer Support Services for instructions on how to have the chest strap replaced.

  If you hear a rubbing sound coming from underneath your Life Fitness Treadmill, power down the unit and disconnect AC power. Inspect underneath the striding belt and machine. Remove any debris or objects that may be causing interference.
