Overview

This document provides a product use guide for the JH-370Y 11 Gal Air Cooler.

Function Description:

The JH-370Y is an 11-gallon air cooler designed to provide cooling and humidification. It operates as a fan with multiple speed settings and modes, and includes a cooling system that utilizes water and ice boxes to lower air temperature. The unit features both vertical and horizontal swing functions to distribute air. It can be operated manually via a control panel or remotely using a dedicated remote control. The air cooler is designed for easy water addition, either manually or through a continuous fill option using a garden hose.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model No.: JH-370Y
  • Item Name: 11 Gal AIR COOLER
  • Rated Voltage: 120V (60Hz)
  • Rated Power: 120W
  • Fan Speeds: Low / Medium / High (3 modes)
  • Swing: Vertical and Horizontal
  • Fan Height: 37 Inch
  • Package Size: 37.4×20.6×14.3 Inch
  • Water Tank Capacity: 11 Gallons (implied by item name)
  • Remote Control Range: 16ft (approximately)
  • Battery Type for Remote Control: CR2025

Usage Features:

  • Manual Water Addition: Water can be added by opening the upper flip cover. The water level can be monitored through a water level window. Clean tap water is recommended, and the unit should be unplugged before adding water. The water level must exceed the minimum "Min" mark.
  • Continuous Fill: An adapter is provided to connect a garden hose to the automatic water inlet on the back of the product. The adapter specifications are 3/4" GHT Female to 1/2" NPT Female. The internal control device will maintain the maximum water level, so the faucet does not need to be turned off. Water pipe sealing tape is recommended for connections to prevent leaks.
  • Ice Box Usage: For enhanced cooling, ice boxes can be used. For first-time use, fill the ice box with water up to the scale, tighten the lid, and let it sit for 30-40 minutes for the water and ice crystal mix to fully combine. Then, freeze the ice box in a refrigerator for two hours. Once frozen, place the ice box into the air cooler's ice container. The ice crystal turns to jelly after prolonged use and can be refrozen.
  • Control Panel: The unit has a control panel with buttons for ON/OFF, Speed (Low/Medium/High), Mode (Normal/Natural), Swing (left and right), Timer (up to 12 hours), and Cooling (to activate/deactivate the cooling system). The power indicator light shows standby mode.
  • Remote Control: A remote control is included for convenient operation. Before use, remove the plastic insulating film from under the battery. The remote control has buttons for ON/OFF, Speed, Swing, Timer, Mode, and Cool. It must be pointed directly at the receiver on the fan for optimal operation.
  • Safety Instructions:
    • Do not use with other speed control devices.
    • Do not immerse the motor body, plug, or cord in water.
    • Avoid tilting or colliding with the unit after adding water to prevent overflow.
    • Do not place in high or ultra-low temperatures.
    • Regularly update water in the tank, especially in hot weather, to prevent deterioration and odor.
    • Before packaging or storage, run the unit with normal air to dry the evaporator and prevent odor.
    • If used in a closed environment, turn off the cold air function due to its strong humidification effect.
    • Add water promptly when the level is below the lowest water line.
    • Do not operate near explosive or flammable fumes.
    • Avoid contact with moving fan parts.
    • Always pull the plug from the wall outlet to disconnect, never yank the cord.
    • Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug; discard or return for repair.
    • Arrange the cord away from walking areas.
    • Not for use by children or persons with reduced capabilities without supervision.
    • Do not leave the fan running unattended.
    • Remove power before removing the protective housing.
    • Do not open the cooling system when the water tank is empty; the unit will indicate this and automatically cut off the pump.
  • Assembly: The wheels need to be attached. Align the positioning holes in the base with the holes above the wheels and tighten the screws. The wheel with a lock is the rear wheel, and the wheel without a lock is the front wheel.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning Wet Curtain: Turn off power, loosen screws on the back-cover plate, and remove it. Loosen the plastic nut on the wet curtain to remove it. Clean with a soft brush and mild detergent, rinse with water, and dry under sunshine before reinstalling. Replace the wet curtain if dirt is hard to remove after long-term usage.
  • Cleaning Surface: Turn off power and clean the unit's surface with mild detergent and a soft cloth. Do not touch the control panel with water.
  • Water Tank Drainage: The drain is located at the bottom of the unit. Rotate and pull out the silicone plug of the water outlet, then tilt the body to completely empty the water tank. Regular draining and cleaning are recommended. Empty the water tank if the unit will not be unused for a long time.
  • Storage Guidelines:
    • Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
    • Clean plastic parts with mild soap and a damp cloth/sponge; do not submerge the unit in water.
    • Ensure no water or liquid enters the fan motor.
    • Dry all parts completely before reassembly and reconnecting to power.
    • Store the fan in a cool, dry location when not in use. Use original packaging to prevent dust and dirt buildup.
  • Battery Replacement (Remote Control): Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and replace the used CR2025 battery with a new one. Dispose of old batteries at a household hazardous waste collection site.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a "FAULT AND MAINTENANCE" section that lists common issues, their causes, and solutions, such as product not working, bad cooling effects, water pump not working, remote control not working, and lack of accessories. For many issues, contacting customer service & repair center is recommended.
