Overview

The Lifepro FlexCycle Bike is a compact and portable exercise device designed for cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength training from the comfort of your home or office. It can be used while sitting on a couch, reading a book, or at a desk.

Function Description:

The FlexCycle Bike provides aerobic exercise with numerous benefits for the body, brain, and mental health. It aims to redefine workouts and offer a transformative fitness experience by:

  • Increasing strength & flexibility: Improving stability and muscle tone.
  • Regulating weight: Boosting heart rate and burning calories.
  • Decreasing chronic pain: Enhancing core strength and circulation.
  • Boosting metabolism: Encouraging faster fat burning.
  • Decreasing stress: Increasing serotonin and decreasing cortisol.
  • Lowering blood pressure: Improving circulation.
  • Developing stronger bones: Increasing bone density.

The device features 8 pedal resistance levels, allowing users to create custom cycling workouts ranging from an easy bike ride to more intense sessions similar to biking up a steep hill. It is recommended to use the FlexCycle for at least 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise each week for optimal health, with results visible in just 15-20 minutes a day.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Size: 20.9" x 17.5" x 13.2"
  • Net Weight: 18.1 lbs
  • Decibel Rating: 30-75 dB
  • Batteries Required for Monitor: 2 AAA batteries (included)
  • Maximum Weight Capacity: 220 lbs
  • Resistance Levels: 8 (adjustable via Tension Control Knob)

Usage Features:

  • Monitor Screen: Displays workout progress, including RPM (strides per minute), time, count (number of strides), distance traveled (miles), calories expended (KCAL), and total strides across all workouts.
  • Function/Reset Button: Toggles through display functions (scan, time, count, distance, calories, total count) and resets all workout values when held for 4 seconds.
  • Tension Control Knob: Adjusts pedal resistance from level 1 (easiest) to level 8 (most intense).
  • Pedals: Includes Leg Pedals with Foot Straps for lower body workouts and Arm Pedals for upper body exercises.
  • Resistance Bands: Two resistance bands are included and can be clipped to the front stabilizer for simultaneous arm and leg exercises (e.g., bicep curls, shoulder presses) while pedaling.
  • Tether Strap: A long strap is provided to tether the bike to a chair, preventing it from slipping on smooth or slippery floors. The strap routes over the front stabilizer and under the bike frame, securing with Velcro and a buckle.
  • Auto Shutoff: The monitor automatically shuts off after 4 minutes of inactivity and powers on when the Function button is pressed or exercise begins.
  • Fitness App Integration: The FlexCycle can connect via Bluetooth to fitness apps like Zwift: Ride & Run and Kinomap (QR codes provided in the manual for download). These apps allow users to create personalized exercise plans, follow structured biking workouts (including virtual cycling routes), track calories burned, speed, workout duration, and other activity information, as well as set training goals and complete fitness challenges.

Operating Instructions:

  1. Adjust Pedal Tension: Turn the Tension Control Knob to the desired resistance level (1-8).
  2. Position Feet/Hands: Place feet flat on the pedals for leg workouts or hold pedals with hands for arm workouts.
  3. Begin Pedaling: Start pedaling at the desired speed.
  4. Monitor Progress: Use the monitor to track speed (RPMs) and workout duration.
  5. Tethering (Optional): If using on slippery floors, position the bike in front of a chair, sit, and route the tether strap around the bike and chair, pulling it taut.
  6. Starting Slow: Begin workouts on the lowest resistance level (level 1) to allow muscles to adapt, gradually increasing resistance, speed, and duration as fitness improves.
  7. Upper Body Stillness: Focus on using legs to pedal, keeping the head and upper body still to maintain balance and efficiency. Pedal downward rather than forward.
  8. Arm Exercises: Attach arm pedals and push them forward in a circular motion. Use resistance bands for additional arm and leg exercises.
  • Step 1: Warm-Up Phase (5 minutes): Perform warm-up stretches (groin, toe touch, calves and feet, quads) to prevent injury, increase blood flow, and loosen muscles. Stop if any pain occurs.
  • Step 2: Exercise Phase: Build muscle, stamina, and cardiovascular health. Start slowly and gradually increase workout duration, intensity, and resistance level.
  • Step 3: Recovery Phase (5 minutes): Complete warm-up stretches again to cool down and recover. Avoid forcing or jerking muscles.

Exercise Tips:

  • Start slow and gradually increase intensity.
  • Consistent long-term use helps achieve goals.
  • Drink plenty of water before and after exercise.
  • Stop use if feeling tired or dizzy.
  • Do not use on a full stomach.
  • Do not use for more than 20 minutes at a time.
