ABOUT THIS MANUAL
This Manual covers the operation and maintenance of le
horizontal shaft ZX series of engines. Each operator f the
power equipment should study this engine manual
carefully and observe all of its instructions and
precautions. Proper use and periodic maintenance are
responsibilities of the operator(s) and are essential for >p
engine performance.
MODEL IDENTIFICATION
Whenever contacting a Linamar/Onan dealer or
distributor for information, parts or service, always
provide the model and serial number marked on the
nameplate of the engine. (The serial number is in the >w
marked "SIN", just below the model number). Figure
illustrates a typical engine nameplate (top) and missions
label.
Genuine replacement parts obtained from a
LinamarlOnan dealer or distributor are recommended.
WARNING Improper service or parts
replacement can lead to personal injury or death and
damage to equipment and property. Service
personnel must be qualified to perform electrical and
mechanical service.
WARNING Unauthorized modifications or
replacement of fuel, exhaust, air intake or speed
control system components that affect engine
