Safety Precautions (VERY IMPORTANT):

  • Proper Alignment: Ensure poles are properly aligned before screwing them together to avoid damaging connection threads. Failure to do so may void the warranty.
  • Fire/Shock/UV Risk:
    • Turn off/unplug the lamp and allow it to cool before replacing the bulb.
    • The bulb gets HOT quickly; only contact the switch/plug when turning on.
    • Do not touch the hot lens, guard, or enclosure.
    • Do not remain in the light if your skin feels warm.
    • Do not look directly at a lit bulb.
    • Keep the lamp away from flammable materials.
    • Use only a 180W or smaller lamp.
    • Do not touch the bulb with bare hands; use a soft cloth. Oil from skin can damage the bulb.
    • Do not operate the lamp with a missing or damaged guard, lamp containment barrier, or UV light filter.
  • Polarized Plug: This lamp has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) to reduce electric shock risk. It will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If it doesn't fit, reverse the plug. If it still doesn't fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning: Fingerprints can cause the glass shield and/or bulb to crack and reduce lamp life. The shield and bulb can be cleaned with a soft cloth.
  • Relamping: Always unplug the power cord before installing or replacing the bulb or performing any other maintenance. Follow the instructions on the relamping label near the bulb for maximum safety and to ensure years of lighting pleasure.
  • Circuit Breaker Reset: If the circuit breaker trips, follow the operational steps to reset it and restore full light functionality.
  • Parts Shortage: In case of any parts shortage, inform your dealer immediately.
  • Documentation: Save these instructions for future reference.
