Overview

This document describes the Livoo Raclette Grill, an appliance designed for household use, allowing for a communal dining experience where users can cook small portions of food at the table. The raclette grill is intended for private use and is not a professional device, meaning it is not designed for continuous operation and should be stopped temporarily during use.

Function Description:

The Livoo Raclette Grill is primarily used for cooking raclette, a dish involving melting cheese and grilling various foods such as meats, vegetables, and potatoes in individual pans or on the main cooking plate. The appliance features a main cooking plate and individual pans, allowing multiple users (up to 8 persons, as indicated on the cover) to cook their food simultaneously. The heating element provides the necessary heat for both the top grilling surface and the lower pans. Some models may include a thermostat for temperature adjustment, offering control over the cooking process. The appliance is designed to be placed on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface, making it suitable for tabletop use during meals.

Usage Features:

Before the first use, it is essential to remove all packaging materials, clean the cooking plate and pans with soapy water, and wipe them dry. The appliance should be preheated for 15 minutes without food, during which a slight smoke may be produced, which is normal. Good ventilation is recommended during this initial preheating.

To operate the raclette grill, the power cable should be carefully unwound and plugged into a socket with a built-in earth connection. If an extension cord is used, it must also have an earth connection and be capable of handling the appliance's power. The socket must remain accessible while the appliance is plugged in. If the appliance has an ON/OFF button or a thermostat, it should be switched on. For models with a thermostat, the temperature can be adjusted between Max and Min settings during cooking.

Users should avoid leaving empty pans in the appliance while it is on. To prevent damage to the cooktop coating, only plastic or wooden spatulas should be used for handling food on the plate. Cutting food directly on the plate is not recommended.

The appliance is suitable for use by children aged 8 years and above, as well as persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they receive supervision or instruction on safe use and understand the associated hazards. Children should not play with the appliance.

It is crucial to avoid contact with hot surfaces or heat sources during operation, as accessible surfaces can become very hot. The appliance remains hot after use and should be allowed to cool down completely before handling, cleaning, or storing. The appliance should not be moved while it is in use or hot.

The raclette grill is intended for indoor use in household and similar environments, such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments; and bed and breakfast type environments. It should never be used outdoors or in places exposed to bad weather and humidity.

The appliance is not designed to be operated by an external timer or a separate remote control system. It is important to ensure that the voltage in the home matches the voltage indicated on the appliance's nameplate before connecting.

Maintenance Features:

Maintenance and cleaning should only be performed when the appliance is unplugged and completely cool. It is recommended to clean the appliance after each use to prevent the accumulation of cooked and annealed food. The accessories and the cooking plate can be cleaned in hot soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge or nylon brush. The appliance itself should not be immersed in water or any other liquid, and water must not enter its base. The appliance is not dishwasher safe.

The body of the appliance can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. The heating element cannot be cleaned with water; if it becomes dirty, it should be wiped with a dry cloth once it has completely cooled down.

After cleaning, the appliance should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from moisture or the elements.

Safety precautions are paramount. The appliance should never be used if it is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged, or has fallen into water. In such cases, it should be taken to a service center for inspection and repair. Users should never attempt to dismantle the appliance themselves. There is a risk of injury if the appliance is misused. The appliance should not be covered during use.

The supply cord should be kept out of reach of children less than 8 years old. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid hazards. The cord should not be pulled to unplug the unit, nor should it be allowed to hang over a table or counter or touch a hot surface.

It is absolutely necessary to keep the appliance clean at all times, as it comes into direct contact with food. No accessories not recommended by the manufacturer should be used, as this may damage the appliance. The instruction manual should always be kept with the appliance and provided to any third party using it.
