What to do if the temperature adjust buttons are stuck on my Lochinvar LVL07580?
    • J
      Jessica JonesAug 18, 2025
If the self-diagnostic check on your Lochinvar Water Heater detects that one or both of the temperature adjust buttons are stuck, press and release both temperature adjust buttons several times, then cycle the water heater power off and on. If the error code persists, replace the gas control valve/thermostat.

What to do if my Lochinvar LVL07580 has ignition failure?
    • R
      Rita ShermanAug 20, 2025
If your Lochinvar Water Heater is experiencing ignition or flame failure and is locked out after three retries, you can reset it by cycling the power off and on. Also, ensure the flame sensor is making good contact with the burner flame and the flame is steady. Check that the gas supply is turned on and pressure is adequate, and that supply and manifold gas pressures are within the requirements in the installation manual. Clean the flame sensor with fine steel wool. Also, check the igniter assembly plug and socket for a good connection. If the plug is worn or damaged, replace the igniter assembly. If the socket is worn or damaged, replace the gas control valve/thermostat. As a last resort, replace the igniter assembly.

What to do if my Lochinvar LVL07580 Water Heater has gas valve driver circuit issues?
    • K
      Kristopher LoveAug 26, 2025
If the self-diagnostic check on your Lochinvar Water Heater detects a problem with the gas valve driver circuit, internal microprocessor, or other internal circuits, turn the power off for 10-20 seconds, then turn it back on to clear the error codes. If the error codes persist or cannot be cleared, replace the gas control valve/thermostat.

How to troubleshoot an open igniter circuit in my Lochinvar LVL07580?
    • M
      michelle51Aug 28, 2025
If the gas control valve/thermostat of your Lochinvar Water Heater detects an open igniter circuit, check the wiring to the hot surface igniter assembly, and replace the igniter assembly if the wiring is damaged or worn. Check the resistance of the igniter at the igniter assembly plug; it should be between 11 and 18 ohms at room temperature (77° F at plug end). Replace the igniter if it's open or shorted. Also, check the igniter assembly plug and the socket on the gas control valve/thermostat for a good connection. Replace the igniter assembly if the plug is worn or damaged, and replace the gas control valve/thermostat if the igniter assembly socket on the bottom of the control is worn or damaged.

What causes the pressure switch circuit to remain open in my Lochinvar Water Heater?
    • T
      Tammy HernandezSep 2, 2025
If the pressure switch circuit remains open longer than 5 seconds after the blower is energized in your Lochinvar Water Heater, ensure the air pressure switch sensing tube is properly connected at both ends and is not kinked or damaged. Also, ensure the correct size of vent and intake air pipe (direct vent products) was used per the installation instructions in the manual that came with the water heater. Make sure the maximum number of elbows or maximum equivalent feet of vent or intake air pipe has not been exceeded per the installation instructions in the manual that came with the water heater. Finally, ensure there are no obstructions in the vent or intake air pipe.
