Cleaning.
The cabinet of your TV and the remote
control are best cleaned with a cloth
moistened with a little plastic cleaner.
Methylated spirit, benzene, furniture
polish or abrasive should not be used,
as they may damage varnish and
lettering.
The screen and filter pane should
be cleaned with a window polish. Don’t
forget to clean the inside of the filter
pane from time to time!
Installing the contrast filter.
Four plastic holders are provided with
the set documents for fastening the
contrast filter. The holders are
designated as follows:
OL = upper left OR = upper right
UL = lower left UR = lower right
A slot is present at the left and
right below the picture tube. The plastic
holder designated with UL is inserted
into the left-hand slot, and the holder
designated with UR is inserted into the
right-hand slot. The holders are allowed
to engage.
The contrast filter is now placed
on the two plastic holders. The upper
plastic holders are placed at the
corresponding positions on the edge of
the filter, and the filter is pressed
against the cabinet in such a way that
the holders enter the upper slots. The
holders are displaced toward the centre
of the picture until they engage.
Attention, because of breakage
hazard:
Avoid transporting the set with
mounted filter.

Two carrying handles are provided in the
upper packaging shell for transporting
the television set. On the rear panel of
the set, one hole each is located on the
right and left for inserting these carrying
handles. After removal of the cover
caps, one carrying handle is inserted
into each hole.
After transport, the carrying
handles are removed, and the cover
caps are replaced over the holes.
