Disconneet

,
and remove any dirt from around the spark plug area.

Remove the spark plug with
a
spark plug wrench.
0.028-0.031

(0.70-0.80 mm)
3.
Inspect the spark plug. Replace
it
if the electrodes are
w
or
n,
or if
t
h
e
in
s
ul
ato
r
i
s
cracked or chipped.

.
Measure the spark plug electrode gap with
a
suitable
gaug
e
.
The gap should be 0.028 -0.031
in
(0.70
-
0.80 mm).
C
o
rre
c
t
th
e
g
a
p,
if
ne
c
essary
,
by
carefully bending the side electrode.
5.
Install the spark plug carefully, by hand, to avoid cross-threading.
