Differential locking should not be used
on
curves;
if
a curve has already been
started with the. lock engaged, brake the outer wheel to free the lock.
USE OF P.T.O.
The P.T.O. can be coupled either
directly
to the engine or to the gearbox, by
suitably shifting the lever 13 (fig. 12).
If, while operating with the
tractor
running, the implement (mower, picker-
baler, etc
.)
becomes choked, depress main clutch pedal to midtravel so
as
to
stop the
tractor
for a few seconds and permit the implement to rid itself
of
the
overload.
To. couple the synchronous P.T.O. stop the
tractor
and shift lever
13
(fig. 12)
to the right. The synchronous P.T.O. operates only with
tractor
running and
revolves at a speed
proportional
to
tractor
running speed. It serves to drive
trailers with front axle drive and implements required to perform
an
amount of
work
proportional to the travelled distance. If the synchronous P.T.O. is used
for implements the drive
direction
of rotation of which cannot be inverted with-
ou
t the risk of serious damages, remember to disengage the P.T.O. before
shifting the
tractor
into reverse.
