19 STANDARDS AND INDICATIONS
19.1 Compliance with directives
The appliance is made in accordance with the following directives:
73/23 EEC Relative to low voltage
89/336 EEC Relative to electromagnetic compatibility
93/68 EEC CE mark alterations and rules
19.2 General indications
This handbook contains important information concerning safe installation, use and maintenance.
Keep it in a safe place for all future reference.
Installation must be done by professionally qualified personnel and in compliance with the
installation rules in force.
The appliance must only be used by appropriately trained and authorised personnel.
It is essential to scrupulously follow all the instructions given in this handbook.
20 INSTALLATION
20.1 Positioning
Remove the appliance from the packaging and place where it is going to be used.
Remove the plastic adhesive protective film from the outer cladding panels, pulling it away slowly
so that all glue is removed as well. If some glue is left on the panels remove it with a specific
product.
Connect the appliance using a standardised (16A) plug or directly to a four pole switch with an
opening of the contacts of at least 3 mm. The earth wire must not be interrupted.
If the appliance is used in line with other metal units, it must be part of an equipotential system
whose effectiveness must be checked regularly. Connection is done by means of a screw marked
with the following symbol:

The air collected by the extractor must not be conveyed through a duct used to discharge the fumes
of appliances powered with energy other than electricity.
If an extractor is used in the same room as other appliances powered with energy other than
electricity adequate aeration must be provided.
