20.2 Starting
All extractor models are set to work at 230 V ac 50 Hz single-phase. For the power please see the
enclosed tables (chap.5).
Before electrically connecting the appliance to a main switch, check that mains voltage corresponds
to the voltage specified on the rating plate.
This appliance is safe only when it is connected correctly to an effective earthing system as
established by the laws in force.
This safety requirement must be checked and, if there are any doubts, ask for professionally
qualified personnel to carry out an accurate check of the electrical system.
Each day at the end of work, or before any cleaning or maintenance is done or if there is a
malfunction, disconnect the appliance from the electricity.
Failure to comply with the above can undermine appliance safety.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the lack or inefficiency of the
earthing system, or by an erroneous installation, tampering, bad maintenance or unskilled use.
21 USE
21.1 Use
The appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it has been conceived, i.e., the intake of
fumes from inside kitchens produced by food being cooked. Any other use is considered improper
and, as such, dangerous.
21.2 Starting the appliance
To start the appliance you must connect the power cable to the electricity mains.
Turn the main switch on for the function wanted.
When you have finished working turn the main switch off.
22 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
The way our appliances have been made is such that very little maintenance and cleaning are
required.
Before starting any cleaning or maintenance always take the plug out of the electricity mains.
When cleaning the stainless steel parts please follow these rules:
Clean the surfaces daily and thoroughly with a damp cloth. You can use soap and water or
ordinary detergents provide they contain no abrasives or chlorate substances.
Always and only rub in the direction of the satin finish.
Rinse with plenty of fresh, clean water and then dry thoroughly.
Cleaning is important to keep the steel surface like new.
