Step 15 – Install Rubber Sleeve onto Safety Stop
Close the cover and slide the Rubber Sleeve Y onto the
Safety Stop at the rear of the Mounting Bracket (See Fig 9).
Then raise Cover to ensure that Swing Arm touches the
Rubber Sleeve. If not, move Ball Stud on Swing Arm to a
lower hole. Each hole also slightly changes the position of
the Cover when open.
Step 16 – Install “Plastic Covers”
Install all Small Plastic Covers R on all the Self Taping Screws
and the 2 Large Plastic Covers R on the Swing Arm bolts.
Install Plastic Plug H into the side of the Crossover Bar that
does not have the Handle.
Step 17 – Install Locking Straps
Extend the strap on the Cover with the lock mechanism
attached. Once you have positioned the lock on the cabinet
to its most extended position, remove the male portion that
includes the strap and secure the female portion with the
supplied screws (see Fig 10).
Installing Optional Lifter Lock
Place the hook portion of Lifter Lock on either side the
Crossover Bar nearest to the cabinet. Then fully extend the
strap with the lock mechanism down onto the cabinet.
Once you have positioned the lock on the cabinet remove
the male portion that includes the strap and secure the
female portion with the supplied screws (see Fig 11).
All Hot Tub Covers include locking straps that lock the
cover to the spa cabinet. This provides safety along with
helping prevent covers from blowing o during heavy
winds. Our Lifter Lock is the only locking system that locks
the Lifter to the cabinet as well. This provides an additional
level of safety along with providing an additional protection
during high winds. Our Lifter Lock system will work with
any cover lifter that has a straight arm Crossover Bar. Each
Packet includes 2 Lifter Locks, one for each side for
maximum security.
