Overview

The Lucci Air 72" Atlanta DC Ceiling Fan is a sophisticated and powerful cooling solution designed for both indoor and alfresco areas, provided the alfresco area is fully undercover with a minimum of two walls. This fan is not waterproof, and exposure to water, wind, dust, or salt will void its warranty. It is crucial to install the fan in a protected location to prevent damage, injury, or electrical shock.

Function Description:

The Lucci Air 72" Atlanta is a DC (Direct Current) ceiling fan, offering efficient and quiet operation. It features a remote control for convenient management of its various functions. The fan's primary purpose is to circulate air, providing a cooling effect in residential or commercial spaces. It includes a reverse switch, allowing for seasonal use: downward airflow for cooling in warmer months and upward airflow to circulate warm air in colder months. The fan offers multiple speed settings, a timing control function, and a natural wind mode that automatically adjusts fan speed for a more natural breeze sensation. An anti-theft function is also integrated, which turns the light on for 5-20 minutes every 2 hours. The remote control has a memory function, meaning the fan or light will resume its last setting if turned off by the isolating switch for more than 7 seconds.

  • Angled Ceiling Installation: Supports a maximum 9-degree angled ceiling installation.

Usage Features:

The Lucci Air 72" Atlanta is designed for user-friendly operation through its remote control.

  • Remote Control Functions:
    • Direction of the fan (reverse switch): Changes the rotation direction of the blades.
    • Speed of the fan: Offers multiple speed settings (1-6) for customized airflow.
    • ON/OFF the fan: Turns the fan on or off.
    • Timing control of the fan: Allows users to set a timer for the fan to operate.
    • ON/OFF the light: Controls the integrated light (if installed).
    • Natural wind: Simulates a natural breeze by varying fan speeds.
    • Anti-theft function: Activates the light for short periods to deter intruders.
  • Installation Flexibility: The fan can be installed with or without a lamp (sold separately). If a lamp is not desired, a non-light decoration plate (I) is installed. If a lamp (O) is required, it can be installed on the fan assembly. The fan also supports an extension down rod and requires a light kit extension cable (H) when used with one.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Requires an all-pole disconnection switch in the fixed wiring.
    • Electrical installation must be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
    • Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced capabilities, can use the appliance with supervision and instruction.
    • Do not run the motor without blades installed.
    • Ensure the "THIS SIDE UP" marking on the blades faces the ceiling.
    • For multiple DC ceiling fans in one location, an isolation switch is required for each fan for remote programming.
  • Remote Pairing: The remote and receiver are pre-paired at the factory. If pairing is lost, the process involves switching off and on the main power, then pressing and holding the On/Off button on the remote for 5 seconds within 30 seconds of switching on. A 'beep' sound confirms successful pairing.

Maintenance Features:

Maintaining the Lucci Air 72" Atlanta is straightforward, focusing on regular cleaning and addressing potential wobbling.

  • Cleaning:
    • Always turn off the power at the mains switch before any maintenance or cleaning.
    • Periodic cleaning every 6 months is recommended using a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the paint finish.
    • Do not soak or immerse the fan in water or other liquids to prevent damage and electrical shock.
    • Avoid contact with organic solvents or cleaners.
    • Clean fan blades with only a damp, clean cloth, free of organic solvents or cleaners.
  • Lubrication: The motor has a permanently lubricated ball bearing, so no oiling is required.
  • Wobble Reduction: Ceiling fans naturally move slightly during operation due to being mounted on a rubber grommet. This movement is normal and does not indicate a problem. To reduce excessive wobbling, ensure all screws fixing the mounting bracket and down rod are secure.
  • Balancing Kit: A balancing kit (E) is provided for initial installation and can be used for re-balancing if the fan becomes unbalanced over time. Instructions for using the balancing kit are included.
  • Noise: Occasional small noises, especially at night, are normal. Slight power fluctuations or frequency signals in the electricity can cause changes in fan motor noise. A 24-hour "settling-in" period is typically sufficient for most new fan noises to disappear. The manufacturer's warranty covers actual faults, not minor complaints about motor noise, as all electric motors are audible to some extent.

Battery Safety Precautions:

  • Keep new and used batteries away from children.
  • Do not ingest batteries; they pose a chemical burn hazard.
  • Use only 2 x AAA batteries and ensure correct polarity.
  • Disconnect the fan from the supply mains during battery insertion or replacement.
  • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Do not mix different types of batteries or new and used batteries.
  • Remove batteries if the product is not used for long periods.
  • Remove batteries from the remote transmitter before discarding it.
  • Dispose of exhausted batteries immediately and safely, out of reach of children.
  • Regularly check the battery box lid for secure closure. If it's not secure, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if batteries are suspected of being swallowed or placed inside the body.
  • Handle leaked battery chemicals with precautions; do not place them near eyes or ingest them.

This comprehensive description covers the essential aspects of the Lucci Air 72" Atlanta DC Ceiling Fan, from its functional capabilities and technical specifications to its usage guidelines and maintenance requirements, ensuring users have a clear understanding of the product.
