This document is an owner's manual for the 100 Series Adjustable Base, a product designed for residential use. It provides comprehensive information on safety, assembly, operation, troubleshooting, and warranty details for the adjustable bed base.
Function Description:
The 100 Series Adjustable Base is a power foundation designed to allow users to adjust the head and foot sections of their bed for personalized comfort. It is operated via a wired remote control, enabling independent or simultaneous movement of the head and foot sections. The base is suitable for use with various mattresses and bedding, providing a customizable sleep or lounging experience. It can also be configured for Twin XL bases to form a King-sized bed, with options for independent or synchronized control using a single remote.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Weight Limit: The adjustable base is rated to support weights up to 650 lbs (295 kgs). This limit includes the mattress and bedding, and the weight must be evenly distributed across the foundation. Exceeding this limit, particularly on the head or foot sections alone, can damage the bed and/or cause injury and will void the warranty.
- Motor Operation: The motors are designed for intermittent use, not continuous operation. They should not operate for more than 1 minute in an 8-minute time period. Exceeding this rating will shorten the life expectancy of the foundation and void the warranty.
- Power Supply: The base requires an electrical power source for operation. It includes a power cord, power supply box, and a control box.
- Components: Key components include a wired remote, retainer bar, 12" legs, power cord, power supply box, and a splitter cable (for Twin XL size only). It features both a head motor and a foot motor for independent adjustments.
Usage Features:
- Adjustable Positions: The remote control allows users to:
- Raise and lower the head section of the base (HEAD CONTROL - Raise/Lower).
- Raise and lower the foot section of the base (FOOT CONTROL - Raise/Lower).
- Simultaneously raise and lower both the head and foot sections of the base (HEAD AND FOOT CONTROL - Raise/Lower).
- Twin XL Synchronization: For users with two Twin XL bases, they can be placed side-by-side to form a King-sized bed. These bases can be operated independently with their own remotes or synchronized using a splitter cable and a single remote for joint movement.
- Easy Assembly: The manual outlines an 8-step assembly process, recommending two people for setup. It involves unfolding the base, attaching legs, connecting power components, and installing the mattress retainer bar.
- Mattress Retainer Bar: A retainer bar is included to keep the mattress in place, inserted into holes at the foot of the bed.
Maintenance Features:
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a troubleshooting section to address common issues:
- No features activate: Solutions include checking wired connections, unplugging/replugging the power cord to reset electrical components, and testing the electrical outlet.
- Head or foot section elevates but won't return to flat: Solutions involve checking for obstructions under the bed mechanism and ensuring the head section is not too close to the wall.
- Remote not operating: Solutions include ensuring the remote control is securely connected and the power cord is plugged into the wall outlet.
- Safety Warnings:
- Indoor Use Only: The bed is not designed for outdoor use.
- Oxygen Equipment: Use with oxygen administering equipment (other than nasal masked type) creates a fire hazard. Proper routing and securing of tubing are essential to prevent entanglement or damage.
- Obstruction Prevention: Keep moving parts clear of obstructions like sheets, clothing, tubing, and wires during operation.
- Liquid Spills: Exercise caution with liquids around the bed. In case of a spill, unplug the bed immediately, clean the spill, and allow the area to dry thoroughly before resuming use. Avoid eating or drinking hot liquids while operating the bed.
- Supervision: Children or individuals with disabilities should not operate the bed without adult supervision.
- Clearance Under Bed: Do not allow any person or pet under the bed at any time.
- Body Positioning: Ensure the body is positioned within the confines of the bed during operation, and do not place extremities over the sides.
- Weight Distribution: Distribute body weight evenly over the bed surface. Avoid placing entire weight on head or foot sections alone during repositioning or when entering/exiting the bed.
- Warranty Information:

- Coverage Tiers:
