Only put the root milling machine into operation if all milling blades are properly inserted
and fastened. Furthermore, make sure that all protective devices are attached and in
protective position.
Check that the motor parking safety handle (Red handle) is working. Start the motor and run it for
a few seconds then release handle the motor should stop immediately.
Check the oil level and fuel, refill if necessary.
Check the condition of the air filter, the fuel lines and connectors for leaks and mechanical
damage, and the fuel tank for jumps and leaks.
Motor do not start in enclosed spaces. The exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide, which
has a very toxic effect inhalation!
Warning of hot surfaces!
The exhaust and other engine parts become very hot during operation. Never touch the hot
motor. Keep enough distance from hot surfaces and keep children away from the running
motor.
MOTOR START ( Fig.1 - 7)
Check that the daily maintenance has been performed according to the maintenance plan. Check
that there is enough fuel in the fuel tank.
The motor may only be started when the milling wheel is away from the floor.
Slide the fuel tap (5) to the right for opening.
In a cold state, set the choke lever (4) to the left on "CLOSE / CLOSED". In warm condition,
leave the choke lever (4) to the right on "OPEN / OPEN".
Gas regulator lever (1) in idle position "SLOW".
Set the ignition switch (1) to "ON / ON".
starter (2) pull slightly until a resistance is felt, then tighten vigorously on the cable pull and
slowly let it roll back in.
If the choke lever (4) has been set to "CLOSE" at the start of the engine, gradually set it back to
"OPEN" during the warm-up of the engine.
Gas regulator lever (1) is in idle position. When you throttle up, the milling wheel starts to
turn.
