Bearing Packer Instructions
Caution : Recommended for using with Heavy Duty
Wheel Bearing Grease only
Always Wear Appropriate Protective Clothing. Protective Gloves and Non-skid
Footwear are strongly recommended when working with Bearing Packer. Approved
Protective Equipment, such as, Impact Resistant Safety Glasses and/or Safety Goggles
Must be used
for Operator Protection.
Instructions :
1. Clean and Inspect Wheel Bearing, checking it for Pitting or Flaking of Rollers or Race.
Race should be clean and shiny.
Note : Use a Petroleum based Cleaner. DO NOT attempt to clean or dry with
compressed air, as this is unsafe and could damage race.
2. Insert Bearing in the Bearing Packer as shown in the diagram, with narrow end up.
3. Manually tighten top plate of the Bearing Packer on centered Bearing.
Note : Narrow end up and do not over tighten.
4. Couple Grease Gun to Hydraulic Fitting on the Bearing Packer. Use only Heavy-duty
Wheel Bearing Grease. Do not use Multi-purpose Grease for packing Wheel
Bearings, as it cannot handle the high temperatures of Wheel Bearing applications.
5. Pump Grease until Bearing is filled and Grease is flowing out the Bearing evenly.
6. When filled, reverse steps 4, 3, and 2 to remove Bearing from tool.
Note : Excess Grease can be used to pack Bearing Hub

Inspect Wheel Bearing Condition

Clean and inspect the wheel bearing for pitting or flaking. Ensure the race is clean and shiny.

Insert Bearing into Packer

Insert the bearing into the bearing packer with the narrow end facing upwards.

Tighten Top Plate

Manually tighten the top plate of the bearing packer onto the centered bearing.

Connect Grease Gun

Couple the grease gun to the hydraulic fitting on the bearing packer. Use Heavy-duty Wheel Bearing Grease.

Pump Grease

Pump grease until the bearing is filled and grease flows out evenly.

Remove Bearing from Tool

Reverse steps 4, 3, and 2 to remove the bearing from the tool.
