REMOVAL
7. Headrail
Pull up the Silhouette® up. Move each lever of the installation brackets to the left to release
the shading.
CLEANING
Regular dusting with a feather duster or a vacuum cleaner at the LOWEST setting will
usually be enough to keep the Silhouette® Shades clean. Any stains should be removed as
quickly as possible using a soft sponge and lukewarm water. A non-synthetic detergent
may also be used if required. When cleaning the whole product, fabric fitted with a bottom
rail can be immersed in a bath. If the product is wider than the bath you are using, you
can clean the product using a soft sponge or have it cleaned by a professional cleaning
company (ultrasound). With the exception of the ‘Bon Soir’ fabric. Contact your supplier
about cleaning this fabric.
Handle as follows:
1. Dismantle the product according to the assembly instructions, and remove the Luxaflex
steel weighted rail (if fitted) from the bottom rail by taking the plastic end cap off the
bottom rail.
2. Fill a container, bath or basin with lukewarm water ((max. 30°C) and add a non-synthetic
detergent. The amount required should be calculated according to instructions on the
packaging for washing items by hand.
3. Place the fabric in the water and hold the upper strip above the water. Putting the fabric in
the water with the vanes open will clean it more thoroughly. Avoid wrinkling or reshaping
the fabric and the folds. Use a soft sponge or brush to remove any stains from the fabric.
Do not leave the fabric in the water for longer than 15 minutes.
4. Hang out the fabric fully above the bath and carefully rinse the fabric on both sides,
so that remaining dirt and soap residue are removed from the fabric.
5. Carefully pull the fabric up and ensure that it rolls up easily on the roller.
6. Hang the product back up.
7. Hang out the fabric with closed vanes and the blinds lowered, and let it dry for at least
12 hours. The Silhouette® Shades should never be stretched!
8. Place the steel weighted rail, which has previously been removed, back on the bottom
rail.
Above recommendations have been compiled with great care.
