Before calling for service
Oven does not
work/start
The gas in your home is over. Check if other household appliances running
also on gas work properly. If not, call gas sup-
plier.
Your range is not plugged to elec-
tric power.
Make sure your range is correctly plugged to
electric power and that the electric power sup-
ply is regular.
Knob is not at the correct setting. Carefully read the Oven Ignition section in this
manual.
Burners won’t turn
on
The gas in your home is over.
Your range is not plugged to elec-
tric power.
Make sure your range is correctly plugged to
electric power and that the electric power sup-
ply is regular.
Knob is not at the correct setting. Carefully read the Oven Ignition section in this
manual.
Burner’s holes may be clogged. Remove burners and clean the holes using a
toothpick, taking care holes won’t be enlarged.
Burner may be improperly in-
stalled.
Check the correct position of burner according
to illustration.
Burner’s are wet. Let the burners completely drip dry, or dry them
yourself. Later, you can try to turn them on.
Clock does not
work
Your range is not plugged to elec-
tric power.
Make sure your range is correctly plugged to
electric power and that the electric power sup-
ply is regular.
There was a power outage. Power
is back and clock shows “12:00”
flashing.
Carefully read the Digital Clock section in this
manual. If your range is equipped with a pro-
grammable burner, refer to the Programmable
Burner section.
Oven light won’t
turn on
Your range is not plugged to elec-
tric power.
Make sure your range is correctly plugged to
electric power and that the electric power sup-
ply is regular.
Bulb could be loose. Tighten the bulb by turning it clockwise.
Bulb could be blown. You should replace the bulb by a similar one
rated at 40 W
Strong odor when
using the oven
First times you use the oven. The first few times you use the oven, this un-
usual odor is normal. It IS NOT a problem, the
odor will fade with the use.
