Overview

This document serves as a comprehensive manual for the installation, maintenance, and operation of dishwashers, specifically covering models MS/9451, MS/9453, MS/9451PS, and MS/9453PS. It is designed for qualified personnel and emphasizes safety and correct procedures.

Function Description:

The dishwashers are designed for washing crockery and are intended for professional use. They feature automatic water filling, heating of both the wash tank and boiler, and a washing cycle that can be initiated after the appliance reaches the set temperatures. The waste pump operates automatically during the rinse phase, ensuring efficient drainage. The appliance is equipped with various safety features, including an ON-OFF switch, a general switch, and a door microswitch that interrupts the cycle if the door is opened. Detergent and rinse aid dispensers are regulated by the manufacturer, with options for adjustment.

Important Technical Specifications:

The manual provides detailed technical specifications for both MS/9451-MS/9451PS and MS/9453-MS/9453PS models.

  • Overall Dimensions: 595 x 625 x 810 mm for both models.
  • Basket Size: 500 x 500 mm for both models.
  • Washing Power: 540 (120 min.) and 360 (180 min.) P/h for both models, indicating different cycle durations.
  • Tank Capacity: 26 liters for both models.
  • Boiler Capacity: 8 liters for both models.
  • Power Cable: MS/9451-MS/9451PS uses 3 x 1.5 mm², while MS/9453-MS/9453PS uses 5 x 2.5 mm². This indicates different power requirements, likely for single-phase versus three-phase connections.
  • Water Supply: Max 50-55°C, with recommended pressure between 1.5 and 3 bar. The manual specifies that if pressure exceeds the maximum, a pressure reducer should be installed, and if it's lower than the minimum, a 0.5 HP booster pump with an output of 20 liters/min and a head of 15-20 meters is required.
  • Water Drain: The drain hose should have a diameter of Ø30 mm and a maximum height of 60 mm.
  • Protection Degree: IPX4, meaning it is protected against splashing water from all directions but should not be washed with direct or high-pressure water jets.
  • Noise Emission: Max. 66 dB(A) at the workplace.
  • Electrical Connection: The power cable must be at least H07RN-F type with a section of 2.5 mm². A cut-out switch with a minimum contact aperture of 3 mm and appropriate amperage fuses must be installed between the mains and the appliance.

Usage Features:

  • Start-up Procedure:
    1. Open the water tap (B) and switch on the master switch (A).
    2. Turn on the appliance ON switch (1), which will illuminate warning light (A), indicating the machine is live.
    3. Close the door for the appliance to fill with water.
    4. Once full, the tub and boiler heating elements will activate alternately, indicated by warning lights (D) and (E).
    5. When both warning lights (D) and (E) go out, the water has reached the set temperature, and the appliance is ready for the washing cycle.
    6. The set temperatures are manufacturer-recommended, but thermostats allow adjustment up to 90°C.
  • Washing Cycle:
    1. After water intake, open the door (I) and add approximately 2g of detergent per liter of tank capacity.
    2. Load the basket (L) and close the door (I).
    3. Select the desired washing cycle using button (4) (short cycle: button pressed; long cycle: button not pressed).
    4. Press the START button (3) for at least 2 seconds to begin the wash cycle, indicated by light (C).
    5. The cycle ends when light (C) goes out.
    6. To turn off the appliance, switch (1) to (0), which will turn off light (A).
    7. Detergent should be added every 5-6 wash cycles.
  • Tank Draining (End of Work):
    1. With the machine on (button 0-1 on, light A on), open the door.
    2. Remove the overflow pipe.
    3. Push the START button (3) for at least 5 seconds. Close the door once draining begins. The draining process takes approximately 3 minutes.
    4. After draining, switch off the machine for at least 10 seconds using the green ON-OFF button to reset normal functions.
  • Door Open Alarm: If the door is opened during a wash cycle, the cycle stops, all functions (except heating elements) are cut out, and warning light (C) blinks at 0.5-second intervals. Closing the door resumes the cycle from where it stopped, and light (C) remains steady.
  • Time-Out Tank Filling Alarm: If the wash tank level is not reached within 5 minutes and 10 seconds, the filling solenoid valve disconnects, and warning light (C) blinks at 0.5-second intervals. To restart filling or clear the alarm, press START (3) or switch the machine off and on.
  • Boiler Heating Alarm: If the boiler temperature is not reached, the cycle continues for a maximum of 8 minutes, followed by a pause and rinse phase. Warning light (C) blinks at 0.3-second intervals and continues to blink after the cycle ends. To clear the alarm, switch the machine off and on.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Cleaning: Cleaning is crucial for proper operation and should be performed at the end of each work cycle.
    1. Turn off the ON-OFF switch and remove the overflow pipe to drain the water from the tank.
    2. Once the tank is empty, remove all debris from the bottom before removing the filters.
    3. Wash all removable parts under running water and reassemble them carefully.
    4. Important: Before removing filters, clean residual foreign matter from the bottom of the tub.
  • External Cleaning: The outer casing should only be cleaned after turning off the master switch (A). Do not use direct or high-pressure water jets. All parts of the appliance should be cleaned with neutral detergents (non-corrosive or aggressive).
  • Prolonged Non-Use: If the machine will not be used for an extended period, clean it thoroughly. Wash and dry the tub and filters. Leave the door open, turn off the water supply, and disconnect the power supply.
  • Accessibility for Service: All components, except the pump, heating elements, and solenoid valves, are located in the electrical control panel. These exceptions are accessed by removing the lower front panel.
    • Important: Before any technical service, disconnect the machine from the mains power supply.
