Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unpleasant odor Oil is old
Change oil after about 10 uses or if it darkens
in color
Oil overflows the bowl
Too much oil added to the bowl Reduce the amount of oil
Too much food in the basket Reduce the amount of food being fried
Food is not crispy
Cooking time is too short Adjust the cooking time
Too much food in the basket Only fill basket to about 2/3 full
Unit will not power on Safety shut off switch has been activated Press the reset button.
