- Boiling Mode: To boil water, both the "boil" and "keep warm" switches should be in the ON position. Both indicator lights will illuminate, activating the heating elements. After approximately 30 minutes, once the water has finished boiling, the boiling element will automatically shut off. The indicator light will remain on. If the water temperature drops, the re-boil function will activate automatically, but only if both "keep warm" and "boil" modes are still on.
- Keep Warm Mode: To keep water warm after boiling, the "boil" switch should be turned off, while the "keep warm" switch remains on. This maintains the water at a warm temperature.
Minimum Volume: For safe operation, the urn must be filled with at least 1/3 of its maximum capacity.
Polarized Plug: The appliance comes with a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) to reduce the risk of electric shock. It is designed to fit into a polarized outlet in only one way. If it doesn't fit, the user should reverse the plug or contact a qualified electrician. No modification to the plug should be attempted.
