Remove any heat sources from the room. Check that the exhaust air duct is properly connected and not blocked. Also, verify that the temperature setting isn't too high; try decreasing it. A dirty air filter can restrict airflow, so clean the air filter. Lastly, ensure the unit is placed on a flat, level surface.

  A gurgling sound from your Magnavox Air Conditioner is usually normal. It's the sound of the refrigerant flowing inside the unit. However, it can also indicate that the automatic overheat protection function is activated. If the air outlet temperature exceeds 70°C/158°F, the device will stop. In this case, switch it on again after it has cooled down.
