2.7.1 Jacking
Position the jack at the correct jacking point. Make sure the jack is positioned on a
level and solid ground. Ensure no one is in the vehicle.
Block the wheel diagonally opposite the flat tyre to keep the vehicle from rolling when
it is jacked up. When blocking the wheel, place a wheel block in front of one of the
front wheels or behind one of the rear wheels.

B Chock Blocks
To raise the vehicle, insert the jack handle end along with the extension into the jack
and turn it clockwise with the jack handle. As the jack touches the vehicle and begins
to lift, re-check that it is properly positioned. Raise it high enough ensuring the spare
wheel can be installed, but not to raise up above the ‘yellow’ line. Remember you will
need more ground clearance when putting on the spare tyre than when removing
the flat tyre.
