What to do if the delivery pressure of my Major 2400 LGP Farm Equipment centrifugal pump is too low?
    • I
      Ivan DicksonJul 26, 2025
If the delivery pressure isn't reaching working values, there are several potential causes. The impeller lugs might be worn or broken, requiring impeller replacement. The RPM could be too low; try increasing it to a maximum of 600 RPM. The tractor PTO may lack sufficient power, so increase the power. Also, the diameter of the outlet hole of the nozzle of the rotating jet may be too wide; in that case, decrease the diameter of the outlet hole.

      Adam CooperJul 31, 2025
If sewage isn't exiting the delivery tube, first check for obstructions in the delivery tube and eliminate them. Next, ensure that the lever gate valve above the centrifugal pump is open. Finally, verify that the handle of the exhauster/compressor is positioned towards the left; if not, position the handle accordingly.

Why is excessive sewage exiting from the packing seal of my Major Farm Equipment centrifugal pump?
    • J
      Jacqueline AdamsAug 6, 2025
Excessive sewage exiting from the packing seal is likely due to a worn or burnt graphitized cord. Replace the graphitized cord, ensuring you don't overtighten it.

How to fix irregular exit of sewage from delivery of centrifugal pump in Major 2400 LGP?
    • D
      danielperryAug 13, 2025
Irregular sewage exit can be caused by a couple of things. First, the sewage might be too dense; if so, dilute it. Second, there might be air infiltration; in that case, eliminate the infiltration.

What to do if the mechanical seal of my Major Farm Equipment centrifugal pump whistles?
    • H
      hollandchristopherAug 19, 2025
A whistling mechanical seal, present in certain versions, indicates it's likely burnt due to a lack of sewage. The suggested solution is to replace the mechanical seal.
