  If there is no chain lubrication in your Makita Chainsaw, the oil tank could be empty, the oil guide groove could be dirty, or the oil-pump adjusting screw might be incorrectly adjusted. Refill the oil tank, clean the oil guide groove, and adjust the oil-pump adjusting screw.

  If your Makita Chainsaw has insufficient power, the air filter might be dirty, the carburetor adjustment might be wrong, the muffler or exhaust channel in the cylinder might be clogged, or the spark arrester screen might be clogged. To resolve this, clean or replace the air filter, adjust the carburetor, and unclog the muffler and exhaust channel.
