Why is my Makita tool not pouring grease?

  Your Makita tool may not be pouring grease for several reasons. There might be air in the grease flow path; try loosening the air drain valve to release trapped air. Check that the air drain valve is properly tightened. The grease might be too thick; use NLGI No.0 - No.2 grease. If the grease is hard due to cold temperatures, warm it before use. Also, ensure that the tool has enough grease; if not, supply grease into the tool.

  If grease isn't coming out of the air drain valve when ejecting air, the valve might not be loose enough. Try loosening it further. Alternatively, the grease may be too hard. It's possible the air has already been ejected. In this case, tighten the air drain valve, install the battery cartridge, and turn on the tool to check if the tool pours grease.
