Overview

The Monkey Jump is an outdoor play device featuring an inflatable inner tube designed for bouncing activities. The device is manufactured by M&M Sales Enterprises, Inc.

Function Description

The primary function of the Monkey Jump is to provide a safe and engaging bouncing experience for children. It utilizes an inflatable inner tube, which is secured to a pole assembly, allowing users to jump and bounce. The inflation process is critical for proper function and safety.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Inflated Dimensions: When fully inflated, the inner tube should measure approximately 20 inches high and five feet wide.
  • Inflation Pressure: The standard inner tube inflation pressure is approximately 6 psi (40 kPa).
  • Components:
    • Inner Tube: The main inflatable component that provides the bouncing surface.
    • Valve Extender: A tool used to facilitate inflation by connecting the air chuck to the inner tube's valve stem.
    • Valve Stem: The part of the inner tube where air is introduced or released.
    • Black Cap: Covers the valve stem and valve extender to prevent air leakage and protect the valve.
    • Monkey Jump Pole Assembly: The structural component to which the inflated inner tube is attached.

Usage Features

Inflation Process:

  1. Locate Valve Extender: Find the valve extender and remove its black cap.
  2. Locate Inner Tube Valve Stem: Identify the valve stem on the inner tube and remove its black cap.
  3. Connect Extender: Thread the valve extender onto the inner tube's valve stem.
  4. Attach Air Chuck: Connect an air chuck to the opposite end of the valve stem extender. The use of a needle valve tool is recommended for this step.
  5. Inflate Inner Tube: Inflate the inner tube until it reaches the specified dimensions (20" high, 5' wide) and pressure (6 psi / 40 kPa).
  6. Remove Extender: Once inflated, remove the valve stem extender and thread the black cap back onto the inner tube's valve stem.
  7. Mount on Pole Assembly: Slide the inflated inner tube down over the top of the Monkey Jump pole assembly, ensuring the valve on the inner tube faces down toward the ground.

Safety Recommendations:

  • Ensure the inner tube is always fully inflated for the best bounce and safety.
  • Visually inspect the inner tube for proper inflation and any signs of damage before each use.
  • Avoid using sharp objects or anything that could damage the inner tube during play.

Maintenance Features

Addressing Air Leaks:

  • Slow Air Loss: If the inner tube is losing air slowly, check the needle valve inside the valve stem to ensure it is properly tightened.
  • Replacement Parts: Replacement Monkey Jump inner tubes are available. Contact M&M Sales Enterprises, Inc. at (877)242-0154 or visit www.mandmsales.com for purchasing information.

General Maintenance:

  • Regular Inflation: The inner tube will require additional air periodically to maintain optimal bounce.
  • Lifespan Factors: The lifespan of the inner tube can be affected by several factors, including:
    • Direct sunlight exposure.
    • Over-inflation.
    • Contact with sharp objects.
    • Other forms of misuse.
  • Pre-Use Inspection: Always inspect the inner tube for proper inflation and any visible damage before each use to prevent potential popping during play.

The Monkey Jump is designed to be a "SAFER. BETTER. STRONGER." product, encouraging "INSPIRING outdoor ADVENTURES" and fulfilling the mission to "INSPIRE CHILDREN TO GET UP, GET OUT, AND PLAY!"
