Controlling Your TV
Using HDMI-Control
HDMI Control allows your T•R to communicate with your TV. The Activation Sync
feature is turned on when you irst set up, providing the following beneits:
Turning on your T•R will also power on your TV and switch to the correct input.
Turning o your TV will automatically switch o your T•R.
To turn o Activation Sync, press HOME and go to: Setings > System > HDMI
Control.
Additionally, you can enable the Turn O Devices feature under HDMI Control to
have your TV and any connected devices enter standby when your T•R goes into
standby.
Note: HDMI Control (also called HDMI-CEC) must be suppoted by your TV and
enabled for these features to operate Manufacturers may label it dierently,
such as Anynet+ (Samsung), Viera Link (Panasonic),
Simplink (LG), BRAVIA Link and BRAVIA Sync (Sony),
or Aquos Link (Sharp).
Using the T4•R's Learning Remote
You can teach the ive highlighted butons on the
T•R remote to control your TV:
TV (TV power)
TVAV (input selection)
Volume +
Volume
Mute
Initially, the Volume and Mute butons control your
T•R's sound. However, for the best sound qualiy
and consistent volume across your TV's sources, you
can teach these butons to control your TV's volume
directly instead.
The TV and TVAV butons will remain inactive
until you teach them to control the corresponding
functions on your TV.
