AN
ANALOG
RECORD

Set
the
INPUT
SELECTOR
switch
to
PHONO.

Setthe
CARTRIDGE
switch
on
the
rear
panel
according
to
the
type
of
the
Cartridge
used
with
your
turntable
(MC-LOW,
MC-HIGH,
or
MM).
The
MC-LOW
position
is
to
be
used
incase
the
load
impedance
of
your
Cartridge
is
below
100
ohms.

Play
an
analog
record
on
the
tumtable.

Adjust
the
volume
with
the
VOLUME
control
and
adjust
the
tone
with
the
BASS
and
TREBLE
controls.

minimum
position
before
placing
the
stylus
on

record
or
before
replacing
the
cartridge.

Do
not
apply
shock

vibration
to

turntable
during

analog
record
to
be
damaged.

Ifthe
turntable
is
installed
too
close
to
the
speakers,
the
volume
may
not
be
able
to
be
increased
to
a
high
level
due
to
howling.

stylus
is
on

record
surface.

Set

VOLUME
control
to
the
minimum
position
before
switching

The
playback
sound
of
a
program
source
component,
such
as
the
turntable,
tuner,
or
CD
player;
can
be
recorded
on
tape
as
follows.
1.
Set
the
REC
SELECTOR
switch
to
the
TUNER,
CD,
or
PHONO
position
according
to
the
program
source
to
be
recorded.
2.
When
the
program
source
to
be
recorded
is
one
of
the
sources
selected
with
the
INPUT
SELECTOR,
such
as
AUX
1
and
AUX
2,
set
the
REC
SELECTOR
switch
to
SOURCE.
3.
Start
playing
the
program
source.
4.
Operate
the
tape
deck
to
start
recording
on
tape.
TAPE
MONITORING
When
a
three-head
tape
deck
is
connected
to
the
TAPE
1
jacks,
the
sound
recorded:on
tape
can
be.
monitored
through
the
speakers
by
pressing
the
TAPE
1
MONITOR
switch.
In
this
case,
the
tape
deck
must
be
connected
to
this
unit
via
both
recording
(OUT)
and
playback
(IN)
connection-cords.
NOTE:
;
panes:
When
the
tape
deck
is
a
two-head
system,
the
recorded
sound
cannot
be
monitored
even
when
the
TAPE
1
MONITOR
switch
is
pressed.
In
this
case,
however,
the
sound
of
the
program
source
being
recorded
can
be
monitored.
DUBBING
OF
PRERECORDED
TAPE
USING
REC
SELECTOR
SWITCH
For
dubbing
from
tape
to
tape(s),
set
the
REC
SELECTOR
switch
to
TAPE
COPY
2
1.
Tapes
can
be
copied
regardless
of
the
setting
of
the
INPUT
SELECTOR
switch.

To
monitor
the
recorded
sound,
press
the
TAPE
1
or
TAPE
2
MONITOR
switch.

The
program
source
selected
with
the
INPUT
SELECTOR
switch
can
be
played
during
dubbing.

No
signal
is
output
at
the
TAPE
1
and
DAT/TAPE
2
OUT
jacks
when
the
REC
SELECTOR
switch
is
set
to
OFF.
There
is
no
need
to
output
a
signal
at
the
TAPE
1
and
DAT/TAPE
2
jacks
unless
when
recording
it
on
tape(s).
Therefore,
it
is
recommended
to
set
the
REC
SELECTOR
switch
usually
to
OFF
so
that
the
signal
path
inside
the
~
unit
can
be
shortened
and
crosstalk
etc.,
can
be
reduced.

With
the
SOURCE
position,
the
signal
selected
with
the
INPUT
SELECTOR
can
be
recorded
on
tape(s).

The
tape
dubbing
with
the
TAPE
COPY
2
1
position
and
the
tape
recording
with
the
TUNER,
CD,
and
PHONO
positions
can
be
performed
regardless
of
the
INPUT
SELECTOR
setting.
