Usage Features:

The TD-WI 1 offers a comprehensive set of operational features, controlled via a user-friendly keypad:

  • Power On/Off: A dedicated SOFT POWER ON/OFF Key controls the device's power.
  • Zeroing: The ZERO Key sets the zero point for all subsequent weighing and counting. It's typically used when the platform is empty. The scale has an automatic re-zeroing function for minor drifting. Pressing the ZERO Key when the platform is empty and showing small amounts of weight will re-zero it.
  • Tare Function: The TARE Key allows users to store the current weight of a container as a tare value, displaying the net weight of the product. A specific tare value can also be entered using the keypad. To clear the tare value, empty the platform and press the TARE Key again.
  • Parts Counting (KEY=1): This function allows for counting items. After taring any container, samples (10, 20, 50, 100, or 200 pieces) are placed on the scale. The MOD Key initiates counting, and the TARE Key cycles through sample sizes. The FUN Key confirms the sample size, and then the display shows the number of parts (pcs). The FUN Key can also be used to view unit weight, counts, and total weight. The MOD Key returns to normal weighing.
  • Accumulation (KEY=2): The FUN Key is used for accumulation. When a stable weight is on the platform, pressing the MOD Key stores the weight in memory, displaying the number of accumulations. The indicator can store up to 200 accumulations. To view the accumulated total weight, empty the scale and press the FUN Key. To clear accumulated weights from memory, press the ZERO Key while viewing the accumulated weights.
  • Holding the Weight (KEY=3): Pressing the MOD Key activates the hold function, keeping the weight value on the display after each weighing. Pressing the MOD Key again cancels this function.
  • Presetting Tare Value (KEY=4): The MOD Key allows for presetting a tare value, which is then subtracted from every subsequent weighing.
  • Animal Weighing (KEY=5): The MOD Key is used to set parameters for animal weighing. This includes "Stable time" (Fil n, options 1-5, with 1 being fastest and 5 slowest), "Display range" (Rang n, options 1-3, with 2 recommended), and "Leaving lock range" (if weight change exceeds this value, a new display is triggered). The FUN Key enters or cancels this function.
  • Check-Weighing: This feature triggers an alarm when the weight on the scale meets or exceeds predefined high and low limits. Users can set hi-limit and low-limit values. There are three check modes (BEEP 1, BEEP 2, BEEP 3) that determine if and when a beep sounds. BEEP 1 provides visual HI/LO indicators without a beep. BEEP 2 beeps when the weight is eligible, and BEEP 3 beeps when it's not eligible. The check-weighing function requires the weight to be greater than 9 scale divisions. To disable it, set both high and low limits to zero using the UNIT Key.
  • Print (KEY=2): When "P10 PS" is set to "RS Prt" for the Serial Printer, pressing the MOD Key during weighing will print the current weight data.
  • Unit Conversion: The UNIT Key allows for setting unit conversion coefficients and performing unit conversion during weighing.

Functions and Parameters Setting (Accessed via ZERO Key during self-checking):

  • "F1 CLK" (Date and Time Setting): Press FUN Key to display and set time and date. ZERO Key shifts digits, TARE Key increments values, MOD Key cancels, and FUN Key enters/exits. Date format can be selected (YY-MM-DD, MM-DD-YY, DD-MM-YY).
  • "F2 SLP" (Sleep Function for LED Version): Sets the indicator's sleep behavior. "SLP no" disables sleep. "SLP 3/5/10/15" sets sleep after 3/5/10/15 minutes. Options include "off" (power cut) or "dot" (only a dot displayed, weight change wakes up the indicator).
  • "F2 BK" (Backlight Mode Setting for LCD Version): Options are "Auto mode" (backlight off when inactive), "Off mode" (backlight always off), and "On mode" (backlight always on).
