The extension pipes and bends of the gas flue must meet the following requirements:
Device type Nominal diameter
13 80 mm
22 80 mm
38 100 mm
50 100 mm
- Temperature class: T250 or higher
- Pressure class: P1
The flue material must have been positively assessed for application with gas-fired appliances.
This positive assessment should have been issued by an inspection body with ISO 17025 accredi-
tation. We advise you to obtain supply and flue material from the manufacturer. This complies
with these requirements.
The table below shows you what type of flue you can use with a specific type of appliance.

Type A [5].
The combustion air is drawn in from the room and no flue is used. This system may only be used
in well-ventilated areas, at least 10 m
3
/kW per hour. The fumes must not come into contact with
flammable substances and/or cold surfaces (risk of fire or condensation respectively). The sup-
plied mesh guard should be placed on the combustion air intake (not available for the Infra 50).
Type B [6].
B12: The combustion air is drawn in from the room and flue gases are discharged outside. A
down draught diverter / draught limiting device must be mounted on the flue fan. After start-up,
it must be checked whether there is any leakage of flue gases on the underside of the draught
limiting device.
The supplied mesh guard should be placed on the combustion air intake.
B2X: B22 for type 13, 22 and 38, B23 for type 50 [7].
The combustion air is drawn in from the room and flue gases are discharged outside. A square to
round adapter must be mounted on the flue fan. The maximum length L of the flue pipe is six
metres, including 2 bends of 90°. In this application only a vertical roof pass-through in a flat roof
is permitted. The supplied mesh guard should be placed on the combustion air intake (does not
apply to Infra 50). To supply the appliance with sufficient combustion air, this system should only
be used if at least 2 m
3
/kW per hour is ventilated. For Infra 50 only type B23 is available. If signifi-
cant pollution or low pressure is likely to occur in the room, a closed design of type C must
always be used.
