2. Power switch/button is in the "ON" position, but
no flame effect.
3. Logs Glow, flame effect does not work.
5.Other reasons that may cause heater not to
operate:
5a.Incorrect operation.
5b.Defective heater switch.
5c.Defective heater assembly.
5d.Loose wiring.
5e.Dirty or clogged vents.
6. Unusual sounds/noise.
7. Flame effect operates, but heater does not blow
warm air.
8. Scratch (es) / paint off.
9. Problems with the assembly work.
1. No power.
1a.Check that unit is plugged into a standard 120V outlet.
2a.Pls refer to replacing light bulbs steps to check if there
has any broken or loose light bulbs. ( 2a. Applied to models with light bulb.)
3a.Open back(applied to model No. REG23/REG23RC/REG28RC/
POLAR42RC) or bottom (applied to model No. TED20/TED23RC/TED28WRC)
of unit, check to see if “spinner” is correctly mounted at the rear of unit.
*Model No. refer to rating label on the back of the unit.
3b.Check to see if spinning motor is functioning. If not, call customer service.
4a.Turn all switches / buttons to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit from
the wall outlet for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes plug the unit back into wall outlet, and operate as normal.
6a.It is normal when the firebox is working. The noise comes from the fan that
blows the heated air out of the firebox. A slight noise
may also come from the
motor that generates the flame. If it is unusual, check that the screws attaching
the flame motor are tightened.
7a.Check that heater switch / button is in “on” position. Switch should light up.
7b. Make certain that thermostat is turned toward the “HI” position.
( 7b. Applied to models with thermostat knob.)
8a.Use touch up sticker/ touch up pen to cover.

5a.Refer to operating instructions.
5b.Call customer service.
5c.Call customer service.
5d.Call customer service.
5e.Unplug the unit. Clear vent area of dust and debris.
Wait ten minutes, plug the unit in again and turn on the heater.
