8. Disconnect Backlight wire from socket on display.
• Remove any tape securing the connector; set aside to reuse.
• TouchXL only: Remove connector from top socket (CN2) of Backlight board.
9. TouchXL only: Remove RFID antenna from UCB connector CN13.
• Remove any tape securing antenna wire to display bracket and use tape to secure it out
of the way on console panel.
10. TouchXL only: Remove 1 #2 Phillips from Wi-Fi board in UCB socket CN5.
• Board will tilt upwards, pull away in line with the Wi-Fi board.
• Leaving Antenna wires connected, flip board out of the way.
• Remove any tape securing antenna wires to display bracket and use tape to secure them
out of the way on console panel.
11. Touch only: Remove tape securing orange touch panel ribbon cable; set aside for reuse.
12. Gently lift display & bracket up to access 2 #2 Phillips screws on either side of display bracket;
remove total of 4 screws and set aside to reuse.
13. Display will fall away from bracket; pull display out from between bracket & touch panel.
• Handle bracket gently to not damage touch panel ribbon cable or other cables still
attached.
• Don’t touch inside of the touch panel or display – residue will be visible but impossible
to clean without disassembly.
• Ensure Wi-Fi & RFID antenna wires are secured out of the way.
14. Set removed display aside; prepare new display for installation.
15. Slide new display into place beneath bracket; keep display and bracket slightly misaligned to
console panel so one side is accessible.
16. Align bracket to display; affix display with 2 #2 Phillips screws on each side; total of 4 screws.
17. TouchXL only: Ensure Backlight wire passes through hole in display bracket; connect to
Backlight board socket CN2.
18. Align display & bracket to console panel; ensure panel keys (top left & bottom right) properly
engage and bracket screw holes align with panel bosses.
• Ensure that Wi-Fi & RFID antenna wires aren’t pinched under display.
• Ensure Orange touch panel ribbon cable isn’t pinched or kinked.
19. Touch only: Double-check display is properly aligned and seated; affix with 8 #2 Phillips screws.
• Ensure no cables are pinched under display; can flip console over and check front.
• Orange Touch ribbon cable must be accessible and passing through display panel slot.
20. TouchXL only: Double-check display is properly aligned and seated; affix with 12 #2 Phillips
screws.
• Ensure no cables are pinched under display; can flip console over and check front.
21. Touch only: Align orange touch panel ribbon cable and tape into place.
22. Connect LVDS cable to socket on display; replace any tape that was removed.
23. Touch only: Connect Backlight cable to socket on display.
24. TouchXL only: Align & connect the RFID antenna wire to UCB socket CN13.
25. TouchXL only: Align touch interface board with threaded bosses on display bracket; affix with 4
#2 Phillips screws and connect cable to socket.
• Reinstall any removed tape on board.
