Display
The display is mounted to a bracket; the UCB and other components are also mounted to this bracket.
To simplify disassembly, most components will remain connected to the display bracket. Replacing this
part requires near-complete console disassembly and should only be undertaken by someone
comfortable with electronics maintenance.
This method leaves many connections intact, removing the display bracket with most cables and the
boards that connect to it attached.
Follow these steps to replace this part.
1. Remove the Console from the Frame.
2. Remove the Console Frame from the Console.
3. Touch only: Remove the UCB.
4. TouchXL only: Remove tape from touch interface board; disconnect the cable from it and
remove 4 #2 Phillips screws; flip board out of the way and set screws aside to reuse.
5. Touch only: Remove 8 #2 Phillips screws fixing display in console panel; set screws aside to
reuse.
Rubber o-ring isolators can be left installed in display mounts.
6. TouchXL only: Remove 12 #2 Phillips screws fixing display in console panel; set screws aside to
reuse.
Rubber o-ring isolators can be left installed in display mounts.
7. Disconnect LVDS Cable from socket on display.
Remove any tape securing the connector; set aside to reuse.
Pinch retaining clips on both sides of connector; pull connector straight away from
socket on display.
